Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond:

The Broadway Ballyhoo, now in its tenth month at The Laurie Beechman Theater, is delighted to present NANCY ANDERSON (3X Drama Desk Nominee), BRIAN CHARLES ROONEY (featured in the last Broadway revival of The Threepenny Opera), CAROLYN MONTGOMERY-FORANT (Nightlife Award winning nightclub star), and three bright young stars that have emerged out of the Broadway's Rising Stars concerts at Town Hall, EMILY IAQUINTA, BRIDGIT ORI, and DOMINIQUE SOLANO.

In honor of Les Miserables' opening tonight, BroadwayWord brings you the actors who've taken on the many complex and vocally challenging roles of Victor Hugo's world, from the unscrupulous Thenardiers to innocent Cosette, or principled Javert against the compassionate and strong-willed Jean Valjean. From Fantine and Eponine, unfortunate in life and romance, to Enjolras and Marius, the fiery young leaders of the French Revolution.

On March 31st, Andre is presenting a concert of his original work at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, downstairs at the West Bank Cafe.

Sometimes Broadway musicals run forever, like Cats or Les Miserables. But sometimes, Broadway musicals run for only a minute, like Merrily We Roll Along, High Fidelity, or Via Galactica. This is their story.

Award-winning performer Shana Farr will begin a four performance engagement of her new solo show In The Still Of The Night -- a musical and poetic journey through the words and music of two of the 20th century's greatest and most prolific songwriters and poets, Noel Coward and Cole Porter - on Wednesday, March 26, at 7:30 PM. Additional performances will take place at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, April 2, Thursday, April 17 and Saturday, May 31.

Looking for the next Sondheim -- or we should say Bobby Lopez (who wrote 'Frozen' and 'The Book of Mormon')...? Maybe the newest voice in musical theatre just won the 2014 New Voices Project, sponsored by New Musicals Initiative in Los Angeles. Three talented young musical theatre writers will have selections from their new musicals showcased as part of the New Musical Initiative's annual GOT MUSICAL concert at the Colony Theatre in Burbank on Tuesday, May 6, 2014.

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. Tonight, March 20th, Broadway Sessions welcomes alums and the 2014 graduating class from The Hartt School and more.

The Broadway Ballyhoo, now in its ninth month at The Laurie Beechman Theater, will present FLO ANKAH, star of TV's WIFEY, MAUREY, and with a recurring role on ONE LIFE TO LIVE, plus film star and European concert artist; she will anchor a concert that will otherwise feature eight extraordinary talents that have appeared in many of the last six Broadway by the Year concerts at Town Hall. Many of these performers have starred in shows all over the country. And they continue to star at Town Hall in the Broadway by the Year Chorus.

Obie Award winning off-off-broadway New York City theater, Dixon Place is presenting the premiere of Michael Harren's new solo work, Tentative Armor. Equal parts music and monologue, Tentative Armor is a darkly comedic collection of the performer's first-person stories of grief, sexuality and self-discovery. Tentative Armor's one-night-only event will go up tonight, March 19 at 7:30 pm.

Everything old is new again--and vice versa-at PAST IS PRESENT, up-and-coming lyricist SARAH REBELL's Metropolitan Room debut March 24 at 9:30pm. By turns hilarious and touching, sexy and historical, this concert features Rebell's lyrics paired with the music of promising young composers including DANNY ABOSCH (Fancy Nancy), WILL BUCK (Only Anne), JOSH FREILICH, (The Star Child), ELIZABETH HAGSTEDT (Rose Petals), TERESA LOTZ (The Birds and the Bees) , MADELINE MYERS (Legends and Lore) and WILLEM OOSTHEUYSEN (Prodigy).

The Amanda McBroom Project, conceived and directed by Eric Michael Gillett and Arthur Masella, with musical direction by Jeff Cubeta is playing at The Laurie Beechman Theatre for 3 nights only, March 14th, 15th & 17th. Starring in the production are, Karen Akers, Aisha de Haas, Terese Genecco, Mandy Gonzalez, Carolyn Montgomery-Forant and Kt Sullivan. Also appearing are Alison Grace Bradbury, Leah Jennings, Eva Kantor, Lauren Stanford, Erin Wegner Brooks and Melanie Vaughan. Eric William Morris, Jason SweetTooth Williams, Molly Hager and more will be part of Joe Iconis And Family at The Laurie Beechman Theater. Joe Iconis And Family is nominated for a 2014 M.A.C. 'Show Of The Year' Award.

Broadway's Mandy Gonzalez (Wicked, In the Heights, Dance of the Vampires, Lennon) has joined the cast of The Amanda McBroom Project, set for tonight, March 14, 15, and 17 at 7pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 W. 42 Street (Between 9 and 10 Avenues.)

2013 BroadwayWorld Award Winner for Best Male Vocalist Jonathan Whitton (Bistro & MAC Award Winner, HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH) his returns with guitarist Aaron Jones for one night only at Don't Tell Mama. Following an acclaimed monthly residency at Don't Tell Mama from October 2012 - November 2013, BLACK SHEEP CARNIVAL returns to Don't Tell Mama tonight, March 13 @ 7:30PM. Tickets are $12 plus a two-drink minimum.
