Award-winning performer Shana Farr will begin a four performance engagement of her new solo show In The Still Of The Night -- a musical and poetic journey through the words and music of two of the 20th century's greatest and most prolific songwriters and poets, Noel Coward and Cole Porter - on Wednesday, March 26, at 7:30 PM. Additional performances will take place at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, April 2, Thursday, April 17 and Saturday, May 31.

During an evening of wit and flamboyance, chic and cheek, urbane and elegance, Shana Farr instills fresh humor and sentiment in her new interpretations of songs such as Zigeuner, Begin The Beguine, Love For Sale, and Just One Of Those Things, as well as in other favorites including What Is This Thing Called Love?, My Hearl Belongs To Daddy, Never Again, If Love Were All and more. Working with award-winning music director Jon Weber and cellist Adam Fisher, these great standards are colored with the sounds of jazz and blues.

In this new production, Shana, who has been described "as an intelligent performer" with "exceptional talent for lyric interpretation," creates a story not only through lyrics but also through poetry and verse.

This year, Shana has already performed her critically acclaimed show Whistling Away The Dark, Through The Songs of Julie Andrews at The Players in New York City as well as in Orlando, Florida. She just participated (*March 19) in Coward Cornucopia, a benefit concert for the Mabel Mercer Foundation at Laurie Beechman Theatre featuring many great performers from Broadway and cabaret, and she has more appearances scheduled later in the year.

A gifted songstress and actress whose talents have been praised by music and theatrical critics at the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post, she also received a 5-star review during a successful club engagement in London, England, last year. She received the Julie Wilson Award in 2013 at Jazz at Lincoln Center where she performed at the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention. Her debut album "Out Of The Shadows", produced with an award-winning team of musicians, debuted in October 2012 to a glowing review in the Wall Street Journal and can be found on iTunes.

Shana has performed lead roles with the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera and has been seen at New York City Center with the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players performing leading roles in The

Yeomen of the Guard (Elsie Maynard) and the title role in Princess Ida. Her Off Broadway credits include The Merry Widow (title role), The Music Man (Marian Paroo), Oklahoma! (Laurey Williams), The Pirates of Penzance (Mabel), and at the York Theater, The Younger Generation. Her regional/concert credits include The Student Prince (Kathie), Madame Butterfly (Kate Pinkerton), soloist with The South Shore Symphony and soloist with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra, among others.
