Amy Wolk and Nikki M. James present I Only Have Lies For You, a new live gameshow that pits Broadway panelists against each other in a lying contest. Two teams of three will go head-to-head telling stories, some of which may not be true---it is up to the other team to guess, Truth or Lie. Featuring musical direction by William TN Hall, panelists will defend their stories by all means possible, including song and dance. Hosted by MAC Award winner Amy Wolk, I Only Have Lies For You is presented monthly at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York City, and is being recorded as a podcast, which can be found on iTunes.

A good time was had by all at Bowery Arts & Science, 310 Bowery (at First Street), in NY on Monday night, May 14 as the annual Fresh Fruit Awards were celebrated. Writer/performer, Lisa Kron and activist, Allen Roskoff, were honored with Community Service awards prior to a cavalcade of accolades for some powerful and enlightening works by new as well as established artists. Three pieces that took home multiple awards were the musical, La Maupin, the political dramedy, The Diplomats, and the semi-autobiographical play, The Phillie trilogy, which was a tour de force for several acclaimed performers.

You may not know this, but our friendly neighborhood Broadway buddy, Ben Cameron, grew up in the Mormon church, just miles away from Brigham Young University. This makes him no stranger to the legendary Music/Dance/Theatre program that has been responsible for a number of our favorite stars including, but not limited to Oyoyo Joy Bonner (Book of Mormon), Delaney Westfall (Sweeney Todd), Megan Masako Haley (Wicked), Michael Milkanin (Kinky Boots), and Brian Russell Carey (Red Roses Green Gold). It was one of those moments that made our Saturday Mornings literally sing. After learning about nouns, various multiplication tables, and of course, how a bill turns into law, I felt like I had tapped into a new world of learning.
