Theatre Now New York presented the 2nd Annual Sound Bites 10 Minute Musical Theatre Festival on December 8th 2014 at the 47th Street Theatre. An after-party, sponsored by Music Theatre International, was held after at Hurley's Saloon where awards were given and merriment was had.

Typical of his entire life, Donny Rowan has been pressing the same crosswalk button at the same traffic light on the same street corner for 20 years. Finally, after placing all his possessions on his front lawn with a sign reading 'Here's my life, make me an offer,' he attaches that same button to the easy chair in his attic and uses it to take him into an alternate universe. Steven Dietz's 'Rocket Man,' which opens August 29 and continues through September 14, 2014 at the Black Box Theatre, 430 N. Downtown Mall in Las Cruces, details his entertaining and engaging journey. NSTC has produced Dietz's 'Becky's New Car, 'Still Life With Iris,' and 'More Fun than Bowling'at the Black Box Theatre and his 'Dracula' was performed at NMSU several years ago.

About the play: 'The Arragons are a nationally acclaimed traveling band of bluegrass/folk musicians, returning this July from their year-long tour to the place that started it all, The Messina. They are presenting the story of their time together as a band on tour: the struggle, the love and betrayal, and a witty battle of the sexes. These events have inspired the band to write the music of their new album, Much Ado About Nothing. For a few special performances at their favorite venue, The Arragons will be giving a sneak peak of their new songs and an inside look into the lives of the artists.'
