Circle Theatre is pleased to announce the four finalists and four semi-finalists plays in the annual High School Playwriting Project.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 120 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 9-14, 2018 in multiple locations throughout the Center. The Center also announced the national awardees for the KCACTF.

Boomerang Theatre Company  is pleased to share a first look at the world premiere of THE RECKLESS SEASON, written by Lauren Ferebee (co-artistic director Rebellious Subjects Theatre) and directed by Dominic D'Andrea (producing artistic director The One Minute Play Festival). THE RECKLESS SEASON began performances Friday, April 21st and continues through Sunday, May 7th, 2017 at TheaterLab NYC (357 West 36th Street, New York, NY 10018).

Undermain Theatre presents GALILEO, Bertolt Brecht's masterpiece, which he translated in English in collaboration with Charles Laughton.  GALILEO will be produced at Undermain's home in Deep Ellum - 3200 Main St. with company member Bruce DuBose in the title role.  DuBose is a recipient of Best Actor awards from the Dallas Critics Forum, D Magazine and the Dallas Observer.  Directed by Undermain's Artistic Director, Katherine Owens, opening night will be Today, February 11th with a curtain time of 7:30 pm.  Preview performances will be on February 8th, 9th, and 10th at 7:30 pm. All preview performances are only $15. All evening show times are 7:30 pm with two Sunday matinee performances at 2:00 pm on February 19th and March 5th.  The production will run through March 5th.

With a total submission tally of close to 170 plays and musicals, The Bridge Initiative has announced 40 plays as semifinalists for this year's new work contest. The semifinalists hail from as far away as Australia, as well as more than ten states, with four playwrights local to Arizona.

Following her past Circle productions of Exit, Pursued By A Bear (2013) and I and You (2015), The Taming brings to the stage the startling humor and rich roles for women that Ms. Gunderson skillfully creates.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) is excited to announce its inaugural 2016 National Playwright Resident, playwright Rajiv Joseph.

The Boomerang Theatre Company (Tim Errickson, Artistic Director) will present their annual FIRST FLIGHT New Play Festival from March 16th-19th, 2016. Five new full length plays will be featured with free public readings. The festival will take place at Studio 501 @ CAP21, 18 West 18th Street in New York City.

ADAPTIVE ARTS is pleased to announce a staged workshop of its inaugural Theater For Young Audiences Production, Invisibility, or Tiny Rockets, by Lauren Ferebee directed by MARIELLE DUKE. The workshop takes place on Sunday, April 27th as part of an ongoing educational partnership with the YM & YWHA of Washington Heights/ Inwood. There is no cost for admission, but all donations go towards keeping Adaptive Art'sEducational Workshops free for Artists and Educators- encouraging more professionals to create accessible programming for students and audiences with disabilities. About two dozen plays, hot off their hit runs at the 17th annual New York International Fringe Festival, are ready to be discovered by the rest of the world. This fast paced and fiercely intelligent play was the inaugural recipient of Square One development with On the Square Productions and was twice featured as part of the company's Write Angle Reading Series. It was also a finalist for the 2012 Old Vic/New Voices Playwrights' Exchange, and featured in Flux Theatre Ensemble's 2013 Have Another series. Atmospheric and evocative, Somewhere digs into the serious and timely questions America faces today about what kind of nation we can and should be, and who will lead us there.
