Photo Flash: THE TAMING at Circle Theatre

The fourth play in Circle Theatre's 35th anniversary season is The Taming, Lauren Gunderson's all female "power-play". This raucous political comedy will have both parties laughing in the aisles. Hilarity ensues when two political opposites wake up and discover themselves locked in a hotel room with a beauty queen.
Following her past Circle productions of Exit, Pursued By A Bear (2013) and I and You (2015), The Taming brings to the stage the startling humor and rich roles for women that Ms. Gunderson skillfully creates.
"Circle Theatre is one of my favorite new play hubs in the country and I'm overjoyed to see one of my favorite and wildest plays yet, The Taming, on its stage. This play is spookily appropriate for this, let's be honest, rather insane election cycle. I mean who doesn't want an all-female, southern political farce with a beauty queen and a lady with no pants? Whomever you're voting for, I think you'll find something to make you do a spit-take all over the person in front of you. I hope it allows everyone a chance to laugh, learn and acknowledge that our nation is always striving to be a more perfect union, and that will take all of us and all of our differences to achieve." - Lauren Gunderson, Playwright
Circle's production is directed by Robin Armstrong and features Lisa Fairchild* (Patricia), Lauren Ferebee (Bianca) and Liz J. Millea* (Katherine). Circle Theatre's production team members include Megan Beddingfield* (Stage Manager), Clare Floyd DeVries (Set Design), John Leach (Lighting Design), David H.M. Lambert (Sound Design), Robin Armstrong (Costume Design) and Kyle Montgomery (Props Design).
