The Bay Area's Signature Womxn Focused Improv Gathering Celebrates Fifth Year.

The new musical EVANGELINE, A CURIOUS JOURNEY will have an industry presentation on Friday, March 23 at 2PM at The Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street between 8th and 8th Avenues.)   

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) has announced that its 2017 Gala Evening will honor the award-winning artistry and ground-breaking careers of mother and daughter Phylicia Rashad and Condola Rashad. This year's gala will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at New York's Espace (635 West 42nd Street).

ImprovBoston welcomes back 35 years worth of alumni for a historic 35-Hour Comedy Marathon on August 5 & 6. A fundraiser for the New England comedy staple, the event features more than 90 laugh-out-loud comedy acts including sketch, standup, character work, improv, musical improv, late-night bit shows, and more. All proceeds from the event will benefit the nonprofit theater's facility upgrades, scheduled for the week of August 7th.

UCI's Improv Revolution (iRev) will produce The Coup de Comedy Festival 2017, a celebration of improvisation and comedy.  iRev is an improvisational ensemble composed of undergraduate students from UC Irvine's Claire Trevor School of the Arts (CTSA). This epic 4-day festival brings the best shows, panels, and workshops to the UC Irvine campus and community for FREE.

The New Victory Theater, a leading presenter of Theater for Young Audiences, is presenting a special invitational reading of The Great Blueness, a new musical with book, music and lyrics by Andrew Gerle (Meet John Doe) on Thursday, November 10, 2016, as part of the 2016-17 New Victory LabWorks Artists series.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) presented the Women of Note concert series, celebrating female, queer and trans artists who are changing the landscape of musical theatre, on Monday, August 1 at The Duke on 42nd Street. Featuring dynamic sounds and incredible performers, this one-night-only concert event showcased even more artists than last year in two back-to-back performances. The extraordinary journey of the Broadway revival of PIPPIN began at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge a few years back, and now that triumphant Tony Award-winning musical, directed by Diane Paulus, is back in Boston via the national tour.
