On Saturday October 19th, from 1pm to 2am, The Nashville Improv Company will present their 2nd annual improv marathon at The Building, 1008 Woodland St in East Nashville, all proceeds donated to Hands On Nashville.

This yearly event will feature 12 improvisers performing for 13 hours, including their signature high energy game sets, a Broadway-style musical, a Shakespearian play, an open improv jam, all completely improvised in the hip, pop-culture infused style that is the trademark of the NIC.

As Nashville's professional improv company, the NIC brings the best of comedy & theater to sold-out audiences every 1st and 3rd Saturday, featuring high-energy games, music, and dramatic scenes completely inspired by the audience. Their classes attract hundreds of students looking to gain self-confidence and spontaneity in their lives.

They were recently voted 2nd Best Comedy Club in the Tennessean's Toast of Music City, in part due to their high-profile performances with Laura Hall from Whose Line is it Anyway, collaborations with veterans of Chicago's famed Second City, and corporate events with ClearChannel and Dell,

A limited number of wristbands are available for $45 each, allowing unlimited access to all 13 hours of improv, while individual tickets to each 2 hour block are available for $10. During the event, the cast will 'pass the hat' for additional donations, hold a silent auction for items donated by local businesses, and have placed a donation link on their website for those unable to attend.
