The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions has relocated to the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall for its London premiere, having run at Manchester International Festival. The performance is billed as a ‘music theatre piece rewriting the history of the world through a joyful and utopian queer lens’ and is based on the 1977 cult fantasy novel on sexual liberation and radical revolutionary aphorisms by Larry Mitchell, illustrated by Ned Asta.

The WYO Performing Arts & Education Center has announced its 2023-2024 Season, the 34th for the WYO.

17 Minutes is a well-crafted and emotional piece, elevated by its attention to detail in both stage design and in the cast’s performance as they bring a devastated community and fraught relationships to life. Rubens’ slow spiral as he copes with the consequences of his choices is paced to perfection, with exceptional performances by the cast as a whole. A standout in a sea of comedic pieces, 17 Minutes is an excellent and moving addition to The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Factory International has announced the 2023 edition of Manchester International Festival (MIF) from 29 June to 16 July. Working with partners regionally and across the globe, the wide-ranging programme of original new work by an array of international artists will take place in venues and spaces around the city and at Factory International's much-anticipated new home, which opens its doors for the first time for the Festival, in advance of its official opening in October. 

 The WYO Performing Arts & Education Center once again welcomes Grammy Award Winner and guitar-shredding artist Larry Mitchell to the WYO Stage. On Saturday April 1 at 7pm award-winning singer/songwriter Randi Driscoll will open the performance followed by Larry Mitchell who will be supported onstage by a few talented (and lucky) local bandmates.

The American Theatre Critics Association and Foundation ATCA have announced the first recipient of the ATCA Helbing fellowship for LGBTQ+ theater writers. Members of the Helbing Committee selected journalist Billy McEntee of New York City for the program that will begin September 1, 2022 and run for a year. It carries a stipend of $5,000.

The WYO Performing Arts & Education Center welcomes Grammy Award Winner, Larry Mitchell to the WYO Stage Friday May 20 at 7:30pm.  The performance will open with local group the Rollin7s and Larry will be supported onstage by a few talented (and lucky) local performers.
