Beehive: The 60s Musical, takes audiences on a musical journey from hip to groovy to raw, from innocence to loss of innocence, and how the evolution of the music of the decade impacted and propelled the female empowerment movement. The Media Theatre is taking a trip back in time with 'Beehive: The '60's Musical' March 13 to March 31. The show, created by Larry Gallagher, is a musical tribute to the women who made the music of the era so special - everyone from Lesley Gore to Janis Joplin, from the Shirelles to the Supremes, Aretha Franklin to Tina Turner, and every woman in between! With two dozen beloved hits, the show takes you on a journey through song, documenting the dramatic changes that America underwent during the '60s.

Just like that the 2018 season ends at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Auburn, New York - and it ends with the empowering and mesmerizing production of Larry Gallagher's Beehive: The 60s Musical. First off, I am not a fan of 'jukebox musicals,' but I guess there is always an exception and it is this production at the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival.

A musical revue featuring over 40 beloved hits, Beehive takes audiences on a journey through the tumultuous '60s, exploring the change in styles of female musicians from the early part of the decade to the beginning of the 1970s.

Continuing the fall season, the production will run from 13th October through 30th October at the Clive and Nina Allen Mainstage in the village rock of Flat Rock.
