Full cast and crew have been announced for Midsommer Flight’s A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, to be performed free in five Chicago Parks District parks from July 15 – August 21. The company’s Founding Artistic Director Beth Wolf (she/her/hers), will direct the magical play.

Shattered Globe Theatre has announced the appointment of Amber D. Montgomery as the company's first Associate Artistic Director. SGT also welcomes Emma Durbin as its new Marketing and Community Engagement Director and bids farewell to Anna Gelman, who served as the company's Associate Producer.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST), the City of Chicago, Chicago Park District, and Boeing partner to present the annual citywide summer tradition, Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks. Directed and adapted by Jess McLeod and featuring a power-packed ensemble cast, this production will bring the magic to life for 1,000 students each day in the innovative, new venue The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare during its six-week run. Short Shakespeare! A Midsummer Night's Dream will be performed for the public on Saturdays February 3 March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Full casting was announced today for Pride Films and Plays' Chicago premiere of PERFECT ARRANGEMENT by Associate Artistic Director Derek Van Barham, who's directing the production. In Topher Payne's comedy, it's 1950, and new colors are being added to the Red Scare. Two U.S. State Department employees, Bob and Norma, have been tasked with identifying sexual deviants within their ranks. There's just one problem: Both Bob and Norma are gay, and have married each other's partners and moved next door to each other as a carefully constructed cover. Inspired by the true story of the earliest stirrings of the American gay rights movement, madcap classic sitcom-style laughs give way to provocative drama as two "All-American" couples are forced to stare down the closet door.
