This special event saluting NFT, for 40 years a seminal force in Black Theater, was co-hosted by Randall Pinkston (CBS News) and Lynn Whitfield. Chairmen for the event were Laurence Fishburne, John Morning and Susan Taylor. The Honorary Chair was Dr. Maya Angelou. Malcolm Boyd, Elizabeth McCann, Carla Pinza, Terrie Williams and Sylvia Sprinkle-Hamlin (for the National Black Theatre Festival).

Today the producers announced that Layon Gray's acclaimed new play, Black Angels Over Tuskegee, would continue its run at the Actors Temple Theater (339 West 47th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues), beginning June 5th. It is currently at St. Luke's Theatre until Monday May 31st.

'Guiding Light' star Lawrence Saint-Victor will join the acclaimed new play, Black Angels Over Tuskegee, by Layon Gray, Monday, April 5th at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street (between Eighth & Ninth Ave.) Lawrence Saint-Victor is replacing Lamman Rucker in the cast, which also features Demetrius Gross, Thom Scott II, Antonio Charity, Layon Gray, David Wendell Boykins, Derek Shaun, Jay Jones, and Rich Skidmore.
