Cessalee Stovall has been chasing her Broadway dreams since she was 4 years old and she still hasn't stopped. After booking The Book of Mormon, her NYC dreams were finally realized!! Then, she decided to give back! She started the Music Dance Theatre Workshop to help teenagers get on the right path to realize their own Broadway dreams.

On Monday, June 22, 2015, over 25 company members (Broadway, National, International, Asian World Tour, Regional) of the multiple Tony-award winning musical RENT helped celebrate LGBT pride with a special tribute to Jonathan Larson's contributions to the theater and LGBT communities. On hand were special guest speakers and original RENT creative team members Marlies Yearby (Tony nominee, original RENT choreographer) and Billy Aronson (original RENT collaborator). The Black-Ups: Variety Hour ...& a half is set for tonight, 6/5/15 at 8PM (doors at 7PM) and Sunday, 7/26/15 at DROM, 85 Avenue A, New York, NY 10009.

Cy Coleman and Ira Gasman's musical The Life explores the human flotsam and jetsam of Times Square in the 1980s--prostitutes, pimps, dealers, runaways, the seedy, lost and desperate. And, of course, this being a musical, some have hearts of gold. The Life began Off-Broadway in 1990 at the Westbeth Theater and moved to Broadway in 1997, garnering three Drama Desk Awards and Tony Awards for Lillias White and Chuck Cooper. On Sunday evening (5/17), 54 Below presented a concert version of The Life as part of its 54 Below Sings series. The cast sunk its teeth into this score with gusto offering 15 songs that reminded us of the show's pith and sass. Intermittent narrative sketched the storyline. Few of those onstage were acting, but everyone sang up a storm.

Broadway Gives Back has announced that the Third Annual 'Broadway Charity Songs' concert will be recorded by Broadway Records as part of their 'Live from 54 Below' series. The concert will feature new songs written by Sting, Brian Yorkey, Andrew Lippa, Henry Krieger, Pasek & Paul, and others.

On Sunday, March 15 2015, to celebrate Broadway Sings for Pride's (www.BroadwaySingsforPride.com) upcoming 5th Anniversary Gay Pride charity concert in June, they will be amping up the star power and going into the recording studio. The selection of songs will be favorites from their previous shows and cast members who support Broadway Sings for Pride including a special arrangement of Seasons of Love featuring RENT Alumni.
