JL Williams to Perform Series of Shows at 777 Theatre in May
The production was previously announced to play at Hudson Guild Theater but producers states "777 is an Off-Broadway house that is in a fantastic location in the theatre district of midtown Manhattan. We want to give our audience the best comfort and convenience while enjoying a fantastic show experience." Running time is 80 minutes and new show dates and times are Tuesday May 17th thru Sunday May 22nd at 8PM with Wednesday and Sunday Matinees at 3:30PM. There are no performances on Saturday May 21st.
The concert will run for 7 performances and will star international theater veteran J.L. Williams, who also is the creator and songwriter of the show. Production notes states "The music, the tap, and the soul is what Broadway Artist J.L. Williams brings to the stage in this foot tapping and soul stirring performance." The show's Music Arrangements are by Ian Jesse, with Music Direction by Coyote Anderson who plays guitar, Gandhi Gonzales on Drums, Carl Limbacher on bass, Alex Clough on keyboard with background vocals by LaDonna Burns and Gia McGlone. The show features original music in the style of Jazz, R&B, Pop, and Gospel, singing and, of course, lots of tapping to tell a tale about resilience, redemption, and perseverance with big hearts and big sounds.
Audiences should expect to leave the theatre moved, and inspired by this original, raw, toe tapping, and fun concert. Doors open a half hour before show times and seating is first come first served.
