On April 28, Symphony Space will host its spring gala, Fiddler at 50, to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Fiddler on the Roof. The evening will honor Sheldon Harnick, the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning lyricist behind the iconic musical. Symphony Space's Gala is co-chaired by Lenore Davis and Amy Wilson. Honorary co-chairs for the evening are Mary Rodgers Guettel, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Harold Prince, and Stephen Sondheim.

If the walls of the Friars Club could tell their stories the history of show business would come to life. Luckily this history is accurately retold and chronicled by each generation of Friars. Friar Historian Bruce Charet, a member of the Board of Governors and Friar Mark Simone Admissions Committee Chairman started the evening off by telling the overflow audience in the Milton Berle Room that "Tonight the Friars is the Copa"!

L&L's shows this season explore Shakespeare on Broadway, iconic singer/lyricist Peggy Lee, a fresh take on Jerome Kern, and our look at Vernon Duke's and W. S. Gilbert's influence on Broadway.
