Paul Anka Performs with the Pacific Symphony Pops This Weekend

Backed by the lush sounds of a full orchestra, Anka brings his talents to Pacific Symphony Pops for a high-energy concert filled with songs that have transcended generations. These include such hits as 'Put Your Head on My Shoulder,' 'You Are My Destiny,' 'Puppy Love,' 'Lonely Boy' and the illustrious 'My Way,' which became Frank Sinatra's signature song, and is the title of Anka's autobiography.

Sharon Kam to Step in for Martin Frost for Australian Chamber Orchestra Performance at Carnegie Hall, 4/26

Carnegie Hall today announced that acclaimed clarinetist Sharon Kam has agreed to step in for Martin Frost, performing on Sunday, April 26 at 3:00 p.m. in Zankel Hall with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Artistic Director Richard Tognetti. The program, which remains unchanged, features Ms. Kam performing Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A Major. The chamber orchestra will also perform the New York premiere of Water, a new work by Radiohead guitarist Johnny Greenwood, along with Haydn's Symphony No. 83 in G Minor, 'The Hen,' and Prokofiev's witty piano miniatures, Visions fugitives, Op. 22, arranged for orchestra by Mr. Tognetti and Rudolf Barshai. Mr. Frost has had to withdraw from Sunday's performance due to a shoulder injury. Complete event information is below.

Jessie Mueller & Broadway All-Star Chorus to Perform Family Concert at Carnegie Hall

On Saturday, April 18 at 3:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) joins musical director and co-host Leslie Stifelman and director and choreographer Melissa Rae Mahon from Chicago: The Musical, co-host Thomas Cabaniss, and The Broadway All-Star Chorus-comprising top performers from the Great White Way-for a fun, interactive Carnegie Hall Family Concert that gives parents and their children the opportunity to sing and dance along with their favorite Broadway numbers.

Baritone Mark Stone, in his New York Philharmonic debut, will replace Simon Keenlyside, who has withdrawn due to illness, in the performances of the U.S. Premiere of Thomas Ades's Totentanz, led by the composer in his Philharmonic conducting debut, and also featuring mezzo- soprano Christianne Stotijn in her Philharmonic debut. The performances will also feature Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 and Berlioz's Les Francs-juges Overture, tonight, March 12, 2015, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, March 14 at 8:00 p.m.

Celebrated violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter concludes her residency as one of this season's Carnegie Hall Perspectives artists with two April concerts in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. She is joined by pianist Yefim Bronfman and cellist Lynn Harrell for a chamber program featuring Beethoven's Piano Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 97, 'Archduke' and Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio in A Minor, Op. 50 on Tuesday, April 14 at 8:00 p.m.
