Spy For Spy is a play with a difference: The audience is in control of how its scenes play out, picking song titles with red heart balloons forty minutes before the performance starts.

Spy for Spy – the world premiere of Kieron Barry’s innovative new two hander play – will open starring Olive Gray (Halo) and Amy Lennox (Cabaret) at Riverside Studios this summer, playing the Hammersmith venue’s Studio 3 from Thursday 15 June to Sunday 2 July, with a press night on Tuesday 20 June.

Suranne Jones, the multi-award-winning actor best known for starring roles in Gentleman Jack, Vigil, Doctor Foster and Scott and Bailey, will host a special Q&A event on Saturday 24 June after the 7.30pm show, fielding questions for playwright Kieron Barry, and cast members Olive Gray and Amy Lennox.

Riverside Studios has announced final details for the full spring season, including theatre, cinema, exhibitions and spoken word, alongside a full programme of community events.

When Michael Whistler's "Casse Noisette (A Fairy Ballet)" opens at Catskill's intimate Bridge Street Theatre this Thursday, November 8th, it will celebrate a LOT of firsts: It will mark the first full production the play has ever received. Four members of its five-person cast will be making their Bridge Street Theatre debuts. Four of the five actors will be the first-ever residents of the theatre's brand-new upstairs artist housing. And this will be the first time the theatre has ever used a front curtain, opening and closing to reveal new wonders at each turn in the plot.

Catskill's intimate Bridge Street Theatre will close out its 2018 Subscription Season with a major coup: the world premiere of Philadelphia-based playwright Michael Whistler's brilliant, funny, and touching "Casse Noisette" (The Nutcracker). The play, described by its author as being about "a very quiet man and some very loud music", masterfully interweaves the life of Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with that of a deeply-closeted modern-day American high school teacher obsessed with Tchaikovsky's music. Sugar Plum Fairies and phone sex workers collide, and five actors play eleven different roles in two completely different time periods, in this tale about discovering the strength to be true to one's self, whatever the cost.

When Bridge Street Theatre co-founders John Sowle and Steven Patterson decided to take a chance on a new work by playwright Kieron Barry, it turned out to be a very wise decision. The Official Adventures of Kieron and Jade, Barry's autobiographical comedy about a long-term relationship that ends unexpectedly, has proven to be a real hit with audiences.

A playwright called (oddly enough) Kieron becomes totally obsessed with writing a play about the collapse of his relationship with a singer called Jade. But just how honest can he make it?

When playwright Kieron Barry and his longtime girlfriend broke up, he was stunned.  It took him a long time to process the 'why' and the 'what did I do wrong'.  To try and sort it out, he wrote. 

Kieron Barry's new play, The Official Adventures of Kieron and Jade, is a comedy with pain and loss at its center.  "I needed it to be fizzy as champagne," he said, "albeit with a shard of broken glass at the bottom.  The story is something awful and grief laden that makes a room full of people laugh."

Catskill's Bridge Street Theatre is delighted to announce its 2017 line-up of plays - five magnificent, warmly human stories for audiences to savor between March and November. Scheduled for BST's second Mainstage Subscription Season are:

The 55th Annual Evening Standards Theatre Awards, honoring outstanding achievements in London Theater, today has released their long list of 2009 nominees. The award ceremony, which will take place on November 23 at the Royal Opera House, will honor some of theater's biggest stars, including Ian McKellen, Kevin Spacey, Sam Mendes, and more. Sponsored by U.K'.s Evening Standard newspaper, with nominees selected by a panel of London theater critics, the shortlist of nominees will be sometime next week.
