Cape Rep Theatre to Present LYLE, THE CROCODILE, 7/2-8/28

Cape Rep Theatre is proud to present the terrific family musical, LYLE, THE CROCODILE, based on Bernard Waber's wonderful children's books, including Lyle, Lyle Crocodile. Running at 10 am Wednesdays and Thursdays, July 2 through August 28, tickets are $10.

Braden Abraham Named Acting Artistic Director of Seattle Rep

Seattle Repertory Theatre's Board of Trustees announced today Braden Abraham's appointment as Acting Artistic Director, effective immediately. Abraham formerly served as Associate Artistic Director and has been on the artistic staff of Seattle Rep since 2003. The appointment, extending through June 30, 2016, comes on the heels of the death of Artistic Director Jerry Manning, who passed away suddenly in April.

MainStreet Theatre Company presents its final show of the season - the west coast premiere of Roald Dahl's The Magic Finger. British Playwright David Wood did the adaptation, which premiered at Imagination Stage in Bethesda, MD in 2013. Mr. Wood has continued to work on the play, and MainStreet is producing a brand new version. Abigail Deser is the director. The production will play two school performances today, May 2nd, and open to the public tomorrow, Saturday, May 3rd at 4pm. The strictly limited engagement will run through Sunday, May 18th only. 2014-2015 at Children's Theatre Company is a season of dreams fulfilled. There are stories of transformational beauty, three fabulous musicals and an interactive, on-your-feet adventure through the undiscovered depths of the theatre. Best for ages 5-10, Rumpelstiltskin runs in Imagination Stage's Annette M. and Theodore N. Lerner Family Theatre today, February 5-March 16, 2014.

LYLE THE CROCODILE to Open 2/13 at Arvada Center

On Thursday, February 13 at noon, the Arvada Center opens the children's theater production Lyle the Crocodile adapted for the stage by Kevin Kling with music by Richard Gray. The play is based on Lyle, Lyle Crocodile and The House on East 88th Street by Bernard Waber. Lyle the Crocodile will run February 13 - May 23, 2014. Performances are 10:00 a.m. and noon, most Tuesdays through Fridays, and some Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Ticket prices range from $8 weekdays and $10 weekends and holidays for reserved seating. Lyle the Crocodile will be Audio Described for the sight impaired on March 4 at 10:00 a.m. and noon and Shadow performed for the hearing impaired on March 5 and 6, at 10:00 a.m. and noon. Shadow- interpreted theater utilizes specially trained American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to perform as 'shadows' on stage alongside actors. Kevin Kling's TALES FROM THE CHARRED UNDERBELLY OF THE YULE LOG Set for the Guthrie, 12/16

THE TRUE STORY OF THE 3 LITTLE PIGS and More Set for Stages Theatre's 2013-14 Season

The 30th anniversary season at Stages Theatre Company (STC) showcases nine productions for children and young adults, which includes three world premiere productions. The 2013-14 season promises to give audiences new experiences unlike ever before. In 'The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs' audiences will decide the verdict and how the show ends. The last production on the season, 'The Dandelion Seed' allows parents and children to participate in the performance with hands-on interaction geared for ages 18 months to three-years-old.
