SteppingStone's Prudence Johnson Puts on Benefit Concert TALES OF A MISSPENT YOUTH Tonight

By:

Prudence Johnson has been one of SteppingStone Theatre's Music Directors for years, and now she's bringing her friends Kevin Kling and T. Mychael Rambo to the SteppingStone Theatre stage for one beguiling evening. The SteppingStone Theatre is proud to host this special concert, Tales of a Misspent Youth, by Prudence and her friends to benefit SteppingStone Theatre and their programs.

Prudence Johnson is well known for her silky-smooth voice and jazzy interpretations of songs. Kevin Kling has been a constant presence as a storyteller on MPR and stages across the country for years, and he'll be
bringing his trademark wit and observation of the everyday. And T. Mychael Rambo's voice is unmistakable. His rich baritone has led Penumbra Theater's "Black Nativity" for years, and he was featured on SteppingStone Theatre's CD "No Picnic Being Cheese," that Prudence produced for us a few years ago.

All of this amazing talent on one stage, and an opportunity for you to support SteppingStone Theatre's important work with Twin Cities children and youth. It will be an evening not to miss!

Prudence Johnson is well-known around the country for her regular appearances on A Prairie Home Companion, her many collaborations with musicians such as Claudia Schmidt and Dan Chouinard, and of course for her
work with hundreds of young SteppingStone Theatre actors over the years.

Kevin Kling has been a regular contributor to Minnesota and National Public Radio for many years. Listeners will recognize his unique voice as an observer, playwright and storyteller.

T. Mychael Rambo is a mainstay on stages throughout the Twin Cities as an actor and singer. From "Smokey Joe's Café," at Hey City Stage in the 90s, to recent work at The Guthrie including his acclaimed performance in "Caroline or Change," T. Mychael's commanding voice has thrilled audiences for years.

Tickets for the event are $45 of which $30 is a tax-deductible donation to SteppingStone Theatre. For this reason, there are no member, student, or senior discounts. Tickets for all performances are available at www.steppingstonetheatre.org or call the box office at 651-225-9265.

SteppingStone Theatre's productions are professionally created and produced, with talents drawn from the best in the Twin Cities and throughout the U.S. The young actors are rigorously trained, but remain fresh and vibrant, bringing their joy and sense of fun to all SteppingStone Theatre¹s productions. Enjoyed by all ages, adults as well as children, SteppingStone Theatre¹s productions are affordable, high-quality entertainment.

All performances are in SteppingStone Theatre's new home, a beautifully renovated 100-year-old architectural gem located at 55 Victoria Street North, one block north of Summit Avenue in the Historic Hill District of St. Paul.

Performances are appropriate for all ages.

SteppingStone Theatre is fully-accessible to persons with disabilities, and has regularly-scheduled ASL & Audio Described performances. Interpreters can be scheduled for other performances at no additional cost upon request.

Performance dates, times, prices and tickets are available at (651) 225-9265 or www.steppingstonetheatre.org.
