MULTISTAGES is pleased to announce the new musical by award-winning Anita Velez-Mitchell, platinum-winning composers Dean Landon and Anika Paris, TEMPLE OF THE SOULS, with musical direction by Bruce Baumer and directed by Artistic Director Lorca Peress. TEMPLE OF THE SOULS will play a limited engagement at Theater for the New City - Johnson Theater (155 First Avenue, btw 9th/10th, NYC). Performances begin Tuesday, September 16 and continue through Sunday, September 28. Opening Night is Thursday, September 18 (8 p.m.).

Beautiful Soup Theater returns to The TAI Group's blackbox on Sunday, September 8th at 7:00PM for an evening of songs by musical theater's brightest new voices. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Beautiful Soup's production of LIFT, an American premiere of a smash hit musical from London's SoHo Theatre.

The Beautiful Soup Theater, whose revival of Moose Murders recently played The Connelly Theatre, will return to that venue in May with a production of the short-lived musical RAGS. The musical, which closed on Broadway after only four performances in 1986, features a masterful score by Charles Strouse (Annie, Applause, Bye, Bye, Birdie!), lyrics by two-time Academy Award winner Stephen Schwartz and a libretto by Joseph Stein. The musical has undergone extensive revisions over the years, and this version will reflect material from both the well-received 1994 American Jewish Theatre production and the 2011 Lyric Stage production.

The evening will feature a selection of songs from Thomson's musicals PUMP UP THE VOLUME, TRAILS and will include new material never heard before.
