Phil Kline's Shimmering Soundscape UNSILENT NIGHT Created By The Public In 35+ Cities This December

This December, composer Phil Kline's mobile surround sound-sculpture UNSILENT NIGHT — a landmark in avant-garde public sound art — takes place in more than 35 cities across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Streets, parks and sidewalks will come alive with “a shimmering sound-wall of bells and chimes that is dreamlike to wander through in the December nip” (The Village Voice).

Ensemble for the Romantic Century Continues Season With MAESTRO

Ensemble for the Romantic Century (Eve Wolf, Executive Artistic Director) continues the 2018 - '19 season, ERC's 18th, with Maestro by Eve Wolf, opening Monday January 14th.  This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through February 9th only. Ensemble for the Romantic Century Hosts Off-Broadway Premiere of MAESTRO Starring John Noble

Ensemble for the Romantic Century is proud to announce that the 2018 - '19 season, ERC's 18th, will continue January 3rd with Maestroby Eve Wolf. Opening Night is set for January 14th.  This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through February 9th only. Ensemble For The Romantic Century Announces Three Play Season of Off-Broadway Premieres

Ensemble for the Romantic Century (Eve Wolf, Executive Artistic Director) is proud to announce that the 2018-'19 season, ERC's 18th, will begin September 15th with Because I Could Not Stop: An Encounter with Emily Dickinson. Opening Night is set for September 27th. This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through October 21st only. Performances will be in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues).

Cast Announced for TCHAIKOVSKY: NONE BUT THE LONELY HEART

Ensemble for the Romantic Century (Eve Wolf, Executive Artistic Director) is proud to announce that the cast Tchaikovsky: None but the Lonely Heart, the final production of the 2017-'18 season, at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenues) beginning May 17th. Opening Night is set for May 31st.  This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through June 17th only.

Ensemble for the Romantic Century to Present THE HEART IS NOT MADE OF STONE, 4/27

New York City, NY — Celebrating its 15th season, the Ensemble for the Romantic Century (ERC) returns to BAM Fisher for six performances of Anna Akhmatova: The Heart is Not Made of Stone. Written by Eve Wolf and directed by Donald T. Sanders, this multi-media production examines the troubled relationship between artistic creation and totalitarianism through the perspective of the Russian poet Anna Akhmatova (1889-1966). This tale of passion, love, political repression, and redemption is interwoven with music by Russian composers' Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, and Shostakovich.
