SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical, the critically acclaimed, award-winning new musical will conclude its Broadway engagement at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at West 47th Street) on Sunday, September 16, 2018, due to previously planned theatre renovations beginning mid-September. Early in 2019, school and youth group licensing rights will be available, with professional licensing to follow. Additionally, a North American tour will begin fall 2019 (cities, venue engagements and casting to be announced at a later date). The production, which began previews on November 6, 2017, and opened on December 4, 2017, will have played 327 regular performances and 29 previews.
Well, we did it! Broadway Sessions recently celebrated it's 10th anniversary with a full blown SUPER SHOW! Conrad Ricamora is best-known to millions of TV viewers as Oliver, the cute computer whiz, on ABC's 'How to Get Away With Murder.' But this 2013 Theatre World Award winner also can slay an audience onstage as he has proven Off-Broadway in 'Here Lies Love' and on Broadway in 'The King and I.' And Ricamora is currently 'killing it' as the star of 'Soft Power,' David Henry Hwang and Jeanine Tesori's bold, new musical. Directed by Leigh Silverman, it is playing through July 8 at the Curran in San Francisco.

Hundreds of participating students will share musical numbers from their fully produced school shows at the Finale. For many, their first musical theatre experience performing will be on Broadway.

Broadway Sessions recently celebrated the music of award winning composing team Thomson and Desmon. Jeffrey Thomson and Jeremy Desmon are responsible for musicals One Hit Wonder, The Oliver Experiment, Pump Up the Volume and the highly anticipated Nancy Drew. Wonderful writers tend to have some wonderful friends who tend to want to get their hands on their music! And that's a very good thing.

Bikini Bottom came to The Laurie Beechman Theatre recently as we welcomed the colorful cast of Spongebob Squarepants for our 2018 season kick off.
