LIVE WITH KELLY AND RYAN Heads Into 31st Season with a Stellar Lineup of Guests and a Month Full of Fun with 'LIVEtember'

September on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” transforms into “LIVEtember,” as the top morning talk show kicks off its 31st season on Sept. 3 with a phenomenal lineup of guests, music acts and “live” festivities all month long. 

The critically-acclaimed musical comedy THE OTHER JOSH COHEN will open Off-Broadway at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street) this fall. 

On today's “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” Ryan's guest co-host, “Scandal” star Katie Lowes shares “glamorous” backstage footage of the Broadway musical “Waitress,” as well as what she does during intermission (“mom life”).

During the week of July 23, 2018, “Live with Kelly and Ryan” matched an 8-week high in Households (since the w/o 5/28/18), improving over the prior week by 11% (2.1 rating vs. 1.9 rating). In addition, “Live” grew week to week by 7% in Total Viewers (2.777 million vs. 2.584 million) to its largest overall audience since the beginning of July – since the week of 7/2/18.

Following a well-received Sarasota Festival of New Plays this past spring, Florida Studio Theatre (FST) announces an addition to its New Play Development program. Three new works will be staged throughout the month of August featuring some of the latest work by George Brant, Barry Harman and Keith Herrmann, and Sandy Rustin. "Good comedies with exciting stories are hard to find and we have found three well-crafted tales from various eras, points of view, and comedic angles," shared FST Associate Artist Catherine Randazzo. Talkbacks will follow each reading, giving audiences the chance to engage with each piece more deeply, while also giving playwrights valuable feedback. These readings are free and open to the public, though reservations are required.

In celebration of the Broadway musical's 15th anniversary, the cast of "Avenue Q" hits the plaza to sing a special a capella song they prepared just for TODAY.

'Live with Kelly and Ryan' During the week of May 28, 2018, 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' beat 'Ellen' by double digits in Households (+16% - 2.2 rating vs. 1.9 rating) and Women 25-54 (+11% - 1.0 rating vs. 0.9 rating) to rank as the No. 2 Syndicated talk show, behind only 'Dr. Phil.' 'Live' also finished the week as the 2 nd most-watched Syndicated talk show (2.897 million), topping 'Ellen' by 8% (2.692 million).

The Tony Award winning Best Musical Avenue Q will mark its 15th anniversary with 15 special performances at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.) from July 18 to 29, 2018.

 The loudest night in country music kicked it up a notch as the biggest stars in the genre and beyond took on Nashville for the "2018 CMT Music Awards." In a night of firsts, Blake Shelton won his first-ever Video of the Year Award for "I'll Name The Dogs;" Little Big Town hosted for the first-time; and Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, Kelly Clarkson, Little BigTown, Sam Hunt and Backstreet Boys seized the moment to debut new music for the first-time anywhere. A slew of new artists walked away with their first buckles, including Dan + Shay (Duo Video of the Year), Carly Pearce(Breakthrough Video of the Year), Kane Brown (Collaborative Video of the Year with Lauren Alaina), Backstreet Boys (CMT Performance of the Year with Florida Georgia Line) and Ludacris (Female Video of the Year with Carrie Underwood). Carly Pearce and Kane Brown won the first awards  of their careers. Carrie Underwood's win for "Female Video of the Year" extends her record for most "CMT Music Awards" wins with a grand total of 18.
