Undermain Theatre's 34th season examines the world from a largely female perspective with three mainstage productions and adds a 4 week reading series of new American work in the spring. Our world premiere and season opener examines the world of Mexican cartels as portrayed by an all-female cast, by an evolving young writer. Our fall production is a regional premiere of an established Pulitzer-prize winning playwright, which takes place in an American setting inhabited and driven by three different generations of women in an eerie atmosphere near a Civil War battleground.

Directed by Undermain's Artistic Director, Katherine Owens, opening night will be Today, February 11th with a curtain time of 7:30 pm. Preview performances will be on February 8th, 9th, and 10th at 7:30 pm. All preview performances are only $15. The Undermain Theatre is proud to announce that playwright Gordon Dahlquist's play, Tomorrow Come Today, has won the prestigious international James Tait Black prize for drama. This is Britain's oldest literary award. The world premiere of Tomorrow Come Today, directed by Katherine Owens, was developed and presented at the Undermain in the fall of 2014. Previous winners of this award include Zadie Smith, Cormac McCarthy, Graham Greene, Aldous Huxley, Robert Graves, and D.H. Lawrence.
Sundance Institute today announced the acting company and creative advisors that are participating in its 2015 Theatre Lab, which kicked off yesterday and runs through July 26 at the Sundance Resort in Utah. Under the supervision of Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is the centerpiece of the Institute's year-round work with the theatre community and is one of 24 residency Labs the Institute hosts each year for independent artists in theatre, film, new media and episodic content.
