The Jades to Produce AN ALMANAC FOR FARMERS AND LOVERS IN MEXICO

On the heels of their company launch this spring, women-focused Chicago theatre company The Jades announces their inaugural production ofAn Almanac for Farmers and Lovers in Mexico by Kate Tarker, running October 21st-November 13th at The Frontier (1106 W. Thorndale Ave). Emmi Hilger directs. The script was a finalist on the 2015 Kilroys List of the best un- and under-produced American plays by female and trans* writers.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston Presents REMEMBERING THE '40S

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will take audiences on a sentimental trip down memory lane with the revival of Remembering the 40's on October 1-2, 2016, Reagle's original musical revue recalling the 1940's home front.  Featuring a talented cast of singers, dancers and actors, live music and period costumes, Remembering the 40's is a cherished tribute to the war generation.  Sentimental repertoire from the era includes "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "I'll Be Seeing You," "This Is the Army" and "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy". Remembering the 40's is Directed by Robert J. Eagle, Choreographed by Susan M. Chebookjian, with Music Direction by Paul S. Pivot Arts is pleased to announce the world premiere of THE MEMORY TOUR, a site-specific performance experience structured as a tour in Chicago's Edgewater and Uptown neighborhoods. Audience members take a journey through the world of memory with a unique blend of live performances, an interactive app, videotaped interviews of memories, and more. Conceived by Julieanne Ehre and Tanya Palmer and directed by Julieanne Ehre. THE MEMORY TOUR, includes written works by Isaac Gomez, Brett Neveu and Tanya Palmer. From an early childhood memory to a first romance, participants will be immersed in world of others people's memories - and through devised moments, be prompted to connect with their own pasts. 

Rubicon Theatre Company to Present TWELFTH NIGHT as Part of Fearless Shakespeare Intensive

Rubicon Theatre Company presents the gender-bending romantic comedy Twelfth Night, or What You Will, performed by the students of the Education Department's Fearless Shakespeare Intensive, adapted and directed by Rubicon's first company member and critically acclaimed actor Joseph Fuqua. This hilarious tale of role reversal, unrequited love and mistaken identity receives a darkly romantic, goth-inspired reimagining by Fuqua and Dramaturg Dr. Jonathan Drahos. Twelfth Night or What You Will plays for only four performances when it opens on July 29.

Marilyn Horne to Lead Series of Master Classes & Recitals at Carnegie Hall in January

From January 19 to 23, Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute (WMI) presents The Song Continues, an annual series led by renowned mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne, exploring song repertoire through master classes and concerts with the goal of encouraging, supporting, and preserving the art of the vocal recital. The series concludes with the Marilyn Horne Song Celebration, a recital featuring special guest artist soprano Nina Stemme on Saturday, January 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall. The evening's concert also features performances by soprano Julia Bullock, mezzo-soprano Daniela Mack, tenor Andrew Haji, bass-baritone Evan Hughes, and pianists John Arida, Keun-A Lee, Ken Noda, and Jennifer Szeto. King's & Theatre Royal Reveal Nominated Charities

Dinosaur Zoo helped announce the new partnership when children from both charities met the prehistoric puppets stomping down Buchanan Street before enjoying a live performance at the Theatre Royal. The venue also recently hosted the Architecture meets Art exhibition with all proceeds from their art auction going to ENABLE Scotland, while at the King's Theatre a family receiving support from CHILDREN 1st enjoyed a performance of Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom before meeting the stars of the show. Ongoing support will continue across both theatres and staff are brainstorming some exciting fund-raising ideas.
