New York based multi-talented singer-songwriter/performer Karen King is back on the NYC stage, returning to The Cutting Room in Manhattan at 44 East 32nd Street on Thursday, June 22nd at 9pm. Back by popular demand, this new live concert show follows King's sold-out performance at The Cutting Room last October.

Karen King, who wows audiences with her four octave vocal range, will perform a selection of jazz tunes, classic favorites and some personal favorites with an 8-piece band and horn section, including well-known stand-up bassist David Finck, under the direction of acclaimed musical conductor/arranger Angelo DiPippo.

Audience members will get an added treat with Sopranos co-stars Vincent Pastore and Dan Grimaldi helping to host/present Karen King's show. At last October's live show, many of King's celebrity friends came out in support, including Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, The Sopranos' Federico Castelluccio, Grimaldi and others.

Songs in the new show will include the Charles Aznavour tunes She and Yesterday When I was Young, Stephen Sondheim's Losing My Mind and Rod McKuen's If You Go Away, among many others, along with a few surprises for the audience.

King, who along with her late husband, actor and radio personality, John "Cha Cha" Ciarcia, have been beloved mainstays in New York's Italian-American community and in Little Italy. She was also honored recently as "Woman of the Year" for her efforts on behalf of The Boys and Girls Town of Italy (BGTI) at their annual fundraising gala at The Pierre Hotel in early April. She will donate a portion of proceeds from ticket sales at The Cutting Room to the charity.

Last summer, Karen King was asked to sing for visiting Italian Mayor Luigi de Magistris of Naples at the Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in Little Italy in June of this year.

King's most recent CD release was her new "American anthem" single "Here We Are (America)", which she performed live for the first time on the Wounded Warriors float at last year's parade for the Feast of San Gennaro in Little Italy. The single was recorded under the direction of Angelo DiPippo, with whom she has recorded in the past, and is currently in the studio working on a new album.

In addition to making numerous TV and radio talk show appearances, Karen King has performed to help raise funds for the Vietnam Veterans Association of America and has appeared on both the Jerry Lewis Telethon and the Danny Thomas Telethon.

She also enjoyed a very successful limited engagement of the Off-Broadway show she wrote and starred in, The Original American Idol, based on the life of legendary singer Kate Smith, at The Players Club in Manhattan.
