Review: STOP KISS at The Bridge Initiative

Every couple deserves a space to feel safe, accepted, celebrated, and normal. Although a milestone was crossed in 2015 with the legalization of gay marriage in the United States, many people, both in and outside of the United States, are still unable to love freely. The Bridge Initiative’s performance of Diana Son’s play, STOP KISS, is a reminder of both the not-so-distant past and the homophobia that is still present today.

Review: FETAL at Stray Cat Theatre

Stray Cat Theatre’s production of FETAL is a necessary, gripping, and unforgettable theatrical experience—one that demands not only contemplation but also collective action and solidarity regarding reproductive rights.

Review: THE MINUTES at Stray Cat Theatre

As presented by Stray Cat Theatre as its 23rd season opener, THE MINUTES, a blistering satire of small-town city council meetings, begins as one thing and concludes as something completely different. And no matter what clues or giveaways you think you might have picked up on throughout the play, you won't be prepared for the emotional wallop that will eventually come. And you may not fully recover from its uncomfortable implications, either.

BWW Review: Childsplay Presents JUNIE B. JONES IS NOT A CROOK

Reliving the innocence of youth comes only second to the joy of watching children experience theirs. Childsplay's production of Junie B. Jones Is Not A Crook is based off of the beloved book series by Barbara Park, featuring the hyperactive, imaginative Junie B. Jones as the star.

BWW Reviews: Childsplay's CHARLOTTE'S WEB Is A Heartwarming and Uplifting Tribute to Fidelity

Hats off to Childsplay for mastering the transfer from page to stage of E.B. White's classic Charlotte's Web and for casting an ensemble that renders authenticity and depth to this joyous and heartwarming paean to love, friendship, loyalty, and, yes, mortality. Anthony Runfola has directed a seamless production in which cast, set, lights, sound, and costume conspire to create a world that is evocative of innocence and possibility.
