The winners of the 17th annual Sentinel Awards, honoring exemplary achievements in television storylines that inform, educate and motivate viewers to make choices for healthier and safer lives, were announced in a glittering ceremony Sept. 28 in Hollywood.

Irish Repertory Theatre and Dot Dot Productions, in association with The American Irish Historical Society, have announced the world premiere of THE DEAD, 1904 - an immersive adaptation of James Joyce's classic story, "The Dead," adapted by the Pulitzer Prize winning Irish poet Paul Muldoon (Moy Sand and Gravel) and novelist Jean Hanff Korelitz (Admission, You Should Have Known).

Internationally renowned musical phenomenon, The Four Phantoms, join the cast of theHoliday Movie Skating Spectacular: Where Did They Film That? The Holiday Music Journey performing at Stockton Arena onWednesday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m.  The Four Phantoms features artists from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award-winning musical The Phantom of the Opera who performed globally in London, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Germany and Las Vegas.  The Four Phantoms are comprised of an extraordinary quartet of performers including Brent Barrett, Franc D'Ambrosio, Marcus Lovett and Ciaran Sheehan who will perform holiday numbers with the 'Queen of Popera,' Romina Arena, who is the show's starring guest artist. 

With the increasing numbers of UK-trained actors on the major US media channels, the time is right for The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama's (RWCMD) inaugural US Actors Showcase in New York City. It will be held at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theater in the Signature Theater complex on September 26, 2016. The Showcase will be introduced by Emmy and Tony Award nominee Kate Burton, daughter of the great Welsh actor Richard Burton.

August Wilson's hard-hitting 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom' opened September 11 and continues through October 16, 2016, at the Center Theatre Group/ Mark Taper Forum. The Public Theater announced today that The Public Theater's Annual Gala, THE UNITED STATES OF SHAKESPEARE, will take place on Monday, June 6 at the Delacorte Theater.

Last evening, Reproductive rights advocacy organization A is For held their second annual Broadway Acts for Women at 54 Below in New York. The event hosted by SNL's Cecily Strong, raised over 50k with the money distributed this year among Jane's Due Process, Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fund and Physicians for Reproductive Health.
