Last evening, Reproductive rights advocacy organization A is For held their second annual Broadway Acts for Women at 54 Below in New York. The event hosted by SNL's Cecily Strong, raised over 50k with the money distributed this year among Jane's Due Process, Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fund and Physicians for Reproductive Health.

In addition to Cecily Strong, performers included Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Martha Plimpton, Tituss Burgess, Lena Hall, Betty Buckley, Orfeh, Lesli Margherita and Rebecca Naomi Jones. Audience members had a chance to bid on these celebrities singing their song of choice ( karaoke style) accompanied by auction and raffle items. Items such as VIP tickets for Saturday Night Live, VIP tickets for Stephen Colbert, a commissioned portrait by John Lithgow and much more. One item, a private concert in your home by two time Tony winner Michael Cerveris caused such a bidding war that Cerveris agreed to two concerts and the two bidders both walked away with the prize for 10k a piece.

A is For was founded in 2012 and is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing women's reproductive rights. A is For envisions a world in which every woman has access to the full spectrum of reproductive choice. For more information, visit www.aisfor.org
