And a Happy Birthday shout-out to Julie Andrews, who turns 81 on Saturday!

Tony nominee Julie Andrews, who is currently directing MY FAIR LADY in Sydney, Australia, made her Broadway debut in THE BOY FRIEND in 1954. She rose to stardom as 'Eliza Doolittle' in MY FAIR LADY in New York and in London and went on to appear in Broadway's CAMELOT and VICTOR / VICTORIA (which earned her a Drama Desk Award in 1996). She also starred in DOCTOR DOLITTLE in the West End. Andrews made her feature film debut in MARY POPPINS and won the 1964 Oscar for Best Actress. The following year, she took on the role of 'Maria' in THE SOUND OF MUSIC and won a Golden Globe. Among her other films are the made-for-TV musical CINDERELLA, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, the movie version of Victor VictorIA, THE PRINCESS DAIRIES, DESPICABLE ME and more.
