Based on a book of short stories by Cecelia Ahern, the series is the first to be released under “Roar” creators and co-showrunners Carly Mensch and Liz Flahive’s (“GLOW”) overall deal with Apple TV+. The series includes Cynthia Erivo, Nicole Kidman, Issa Rae, Merritt Wever, Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Meera Syal, Fivel Stewart, and Kara Hayward.

Sundance Institute adds three feature films to the 2020 Sundance Film Festival's robust slate of independent work today, alongside previously announced work. The Institute also confirmed that previously-announced Special Event, Love Fraud, will screen on Day One of the Festival. The Festival will take place in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort January 23–February 2, 2020.

New York's leading LGBTQ film festival, NewFest, has announced the full lineup of their 31st annual celebration of the year's best LGBTQ films from around the world. As announced earlier this week, the festival will kick off the festival's 31st edition with the New York premiere of Mike Doyle's Manhattan-set ensemble rom-com SELL BY, featuring an eclectic cast including Scott Evans (Netflix's “Grace and Frankie”), Kate Walsh (ABC's “Grey's Anatomy”), Academy Award-nominee and Emmy Award-winner Patricia Clarkson, Michelle Buteau (Netflix's “Tales of the City”) and Augustus Prew (HIGH-RISE), and will close the festival with the New York premiere of Rodrigo Bellott's award-winning film TU ME MANQUES, which was recently announced as Bolivia's submission for Best International Feature Film selection for the 2019 Academy Awards. 

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 24 - February 3, 2019.

2013 Tony Award-winner Billy Porter will guest star on the November 6th episode of NBC's LAW & ORDER: SVU titled 'Dissonant Voice'.

Stars turned out on Sunday, May 5 in Hollywood, California, for the 34th Young Artist Awards honoring child and teen actors in movies and television. The event, sponsored by the Young Artist Foundation, raises money each year to help struggling young actors and musicians pursue their dreams. This year's award winners included Kathryn Newton ('Paranormal Activity 4'), Quvenzhané Wallis ('Beasts of the Southern Wild'), Isabella Palmieri ('Falling Skies'), Tyree Brown ('Parenthood'), Isabella Allen ('Les Miserables'), Sebastian Banes ('In the Family') and many more. Teenage musical group Jetset Getset, recently named by the Country Music Association in Nashville among “Who New to Watch in 2013,” will perform in Los Angeles for the first time at the 34th Young Artist Awards (YAA) on Sunday, May 5.
