New Orchestra Comes To Chicago

The JAM Orchestra proudly presents their inaugural concert Holiday Swing! An exciting new ensemble, the JAM Orchestra's concert takes play on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Skokie Theatre, 7924 N. Lincoln Ave. Concert begins at 7:30 PM.

Harboring Hearts Celebrates a Successful, Heartfelt Benefit At Lincoln Center

Harboring Hearts founder Michelle Javian, co-founder Yuki Kotani and Executive Director Missy Rahman welcomed 200 guests to a sold-out benefit evening to support heart patients and their families during their most critical times of need at The Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center on November 7th.  The special night began with a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by dinner, an awards ceremony and live musical performances from Alex Getlin, Demi Grace and Broadway Star Antoine L. Smith.

Hartford Opera Theater Presents: New In November 9

Hartford Opera Theater will offer New in November 9, a collection of short operas and opera excerpts. This opera festival will play Sunday, November 18 (7pm) at The Cathedral House at Christ Church Cathedral, 45 Church Street, Hartford, CT. New York Youth Symphony Orchestra Music Director Michael Repper And Jiji To Premiere Guitar Concerto At Carnegie Hall

Music Director Michael Repper and the New York Youth Symphony Orchestra will open their 56th season on Sunday, December 2, 2018, 2:00 pm at Carnegie Hall. The program features guitarist Jiji performing the world premiere of light, beloved, a landmark electric and classical guitar concerto composed by First Music award winner Natalie Dietterich. The piece is the first guitar concerto by a woman composer to be performed in Stern Auditorium, Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, marking the 35th Anniversary of the NYYS First Music commissioning program. The performance further exemplifies the NYYS mission to diversify the music community by creating unique opportunities for young musicians.

Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA Presents LAUNCHPAD

Developing new voices in theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA draws from a wealth of talent, which includes NYFA, NEA, Guggenheim, Obie, Emmy and Writers Guild Award winners. Burning Coal Presents an Evening of Suspense, Blarney and a Pint or Two

The Burning Coal Theatre Company is proud to present Conor McPherson's The Weir, the story of what happens on a seemingly quiet evening in a rural Irish pub when the local boys are visited by a stranger. Directed by Jerome Davis, The Weir will play at Burning Coal's Murphey School Auditorium in downtown Raleigh from November 29th through December 16th. There will be a "pay what you can day" on Sunday December 2nd.   Performances are November 29, 30 and December 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 & 15 at 7:30 pm and December 2, 9 & 16th at 2 pm.  Tickets are available now for $25, with a senior discount (65+) at $20, a student, teachers, and active military discount at $15 and student rush tickets for $5 (if available) at curtain. Today, Lincoln Center has announced the 20th season of American Songbook, celebrating the ever-expanding American musical canon from January 30 to March 4, 2019.
