The seventh installment of BC Beat on Monday, May 19th highlights award winning choreographers and performers from television, film and Broadway who have created and performed in some of the year's most anticipated productions.

Composer RYAN SCOTT OLIVER (35mm, Mrs. Sharp) will offer a talkback for audiences following the Saturday September 8 matinee performance of the multi-composer musical Hot Mess in Manhattan currently running at American Theatre of Actors. Oliver is the composer of the show's opening number, "The Mess."

Jared Zirilli (Lysistrata Jones, Fat Camp) and DJ Bucciarelli (Jesus Christ Superstar, National Tour) will join conceiver/co-librettist Cait Doyle (San Francisco Premiere The Last 5 Years, MAC Award Winner) in The Araca Project's upcoming production of Hot Mess In Manhattan scheduled to play the American Theatre of Actors later this summer.

The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood has just announced the nominations and award recipients for the 38th Annual Annie Awards. Award recipients will claim their trophies at the 39th Annual Annie Awards scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2012 at UCLA's Royce Hall in Los Angeles, California. The new musical Peter & I opens tonight, October 6 at the Chernuchin Theater at the American Theater of Actors as part of The Araca Project, a new program created by The Araca Group to support emerging theatre artists. The production will run through October 16, 2011.

The producers of the new musical Peter & I have announced that the show will receive a production at the Chernuchin Theater at the American Theater of Actors as part of The Araca Project, a new program created by The Araca Group to support emerging theatre artists. The production will run October 6 - October 16, 2011.

A reading of a brand new musical entitled Peter & I will be held on August 4th at Ripley Grier Studios. Peter & I stars Chris Dwan, Julia Murney (Wild Party, Wicked), Jack Noseworthy (Sweet Smell of Success, A Chorus Line), Emily Padgett (Rock of Ages, Grease), Constantine Rousouli (Hairspray, Wicked), and Lucas Steele (Three Penny Opera, The Kid). The ensemble includes Kimberly Burns, Ben Hart, Geoffrey Kidwell, Jeff Leatherwood, Sharon Taylor, and Hernando Umana. Book and lyrics for Peter & I were written by Matte O'Brien who will also direct the show. Music was composed by Matt Vinson. O'Brien's most recent work includes the Whoopi Goldberg produced White Noise at the Royal George in Chicago and the Le Petite Theatre in New Orleans. Amanda Morton (16 Days) is the Musical Director for the piece.
