BroadwayWorld is excited to report that BROADWAY: BEYOND THE GOLDEN AGE, Award-winning director Rick McKay's anxiously awaited sequel to his 2004 hit film, BROADWAY: THE GOLDEN AGE, is set to make its World Premiere at the 27th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival, which takes place January 1-11, 2016.

The two Broadway stars are honored by a society named for a fictional award in the film ALL ABOUT EVE.

At the 20th annual Pell Awards, Trinity Repertory Company will award Oskar Eustis and Laurie Eustis with the Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. Oskar currently serves as the artistic director of The Public Theater. Elizabeth Z. Chace, local businesswoman and philanthropist will be honored with the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts. Nominations are now being accepted for additional local honorees. BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that screenwriter, playwright and producer James Prideaux has died after suffering a stroke. He was 88.

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, theater producer Don Gregory, best known for his solo shows on Broadway, passed away yesterday, November 10th at the age of 80 at his home in Boca Raton, FL. According to his son, the cause of death was a stroke.

Closing their 2015 theater season, Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (WHAT) presents Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story, with book, music and lyrics by Stephen Doginoff. Thrill Me is a musical theatrical event that recounts the chilling, true story of the legendary duo who committed one of the most infamous and heinous crimes of the twentieth century. Focusing on their obsessive relationship and utilizing Leopold's 1958 parole hearing as a framework, Thrill Me reveals the series of events in 1924 Chicago that led about-to-be law students Leopold and Loeb to be forever remembered as 'the thrill killers.' Thrill Me runs tonight, October 24 through November 8 at WHAT.
