MAD COW THEATRE announces the return of a singular downtown Orlando event - the 14th annual Orlando Cabaret Festival, featuring cabaret artists from Central Florida and beyond. Full casting was announced today for In The Secret Sea, a new American play by Cate Ryan (The Picture Box) and directed by Tony Award© winner Martin Charnin (Annie). The cast will feature Shelly Burch (original company of Nine, 'One Life to Live'), Paul Carlin (Temporal Powers at the Mint), Malachy Cleary (The Field at Irish Repertory Theatre), Glynnis O'Connor (TV's Our Town, 'The Boy in the Plastic Bubble'), and Adam Petherbridge (Da at Irish Repertory Theatre).

Die Idee war die Folgende: In einem Studio in New York sollte das Musical in einer neuen Inszenierung vor laufenden Kameras,  jedoch ohne Publikum, aufgefuhrt und live im Fernsehen ubertragen werden: professionell mit Buhnenbild und Kostumen, in Echtzeit, komplett mit schnellen Kostumwechseln und Szenenumbauten. Eben ganz wie ein live Musical, nur im Studio anstatt im Theater.

NEW DRAMATISTS,Tony® Honor recipient and the nation's premier playwright development laboratory, will honor six-time Tony Award winning actress, Audra McDonald with their 2016 Distinguished Achievement Award at its 67th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute. The event will be held Thursday, May 12 at the New York Marriott Marquis.
