FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents BROADWAY STORIES on April 23, 2016 at 11:30pm. We've seen many wonderful stories on Broadway. But sometimes the best stories are the ones told backstage. In the style of The Moth and Risk, BROADWAY STORIES will feature Broadway greats telling their hilarious, moving, and fascinating stories of a life in the theatre. Hosted by Todd Buonopane (Cinderella, Chicago, Grease & Spelling Bee) BROADWAY STORIES will be recorded and released as a podcast. Don't miss the chance to peak behind the Broadway curtain and experience this new late night series!

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. On May 16 (9:30PM) Center On The Aisle (#COTA) will present 'We Love Her,' a celebration of one of Broadway's foremost - and its funniest - leading ladies, Tony winner Laura Benanti (currently starring in the Roundabout Theatre Company revival of She Loves Me). Conceived and hosted by #COTA's editor-in-chief, and frequent guest on NBC Weekend Today in New York, Steve Schonberg, the night will feature a cast of Benanti's friends and fellow stars who will celebrate this incredible talent with songs and stories from her career (Into the Woods, Gypsy, The Wedding Singer, ABC's Nashville, and more) - and of course, her most 'favorited' Tweets.

Marc Shaiman and his partner Lou Mirabal were married today, at the end of Lieutenant Commander Mirabal's retirement ceremony, honoring his more than 20 years of service to our country. The wedding was officiated by Tom Kirdahy (The Visit, Mother and Sons) in New Jersey. Wedding guests included Bette Midler, Whoopi Goldberg, Julia Murney, Nathan Lane, Mark Sendroff, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Darlene Love and many others. Pictures from both ceremonies were uploaded to Instagram earlier today, and you can check them out below!

From Momma Rose to Annie Oakley to Reno Sweeney, nobody belted the big roles like Ethel Merman, who never had a flop in over three decades encompassing Broadway's Golden Age. George Gershwin told her never to take voice lessons, and he and fellow scribes from Berlin to Porter worshipped Merman as a muse. Tony Award-winning music director Ted Sperling pays tribute to the star and the songs she inspired in Everything's Coming Up Ethel: The Ethel Merman Songbook.

Tony Award-winner Lena Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) will lead an industry reading of Citizen Ruth: An American Musical Comedy in New York City on Thursday, March 10, 2016. Based on the Miramax film, screenplay by Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor, Citizen Ruth features a book and lyrics by Mark Leydorf and music by Michael Brennan. The invite-only reading will precede an anticipated Off-Broadway run this summer.

Longtime Fundamental Theater Project supporter Alec Baldwin has purchased a significant number of tickets to FTP's annual fundraising event, which this year features Aidan Quinn, Patrick Breen, Julia Murney, Valorie Curry and FTP's artistic director Sam Underwood in two back-to-back staged readings at Symphony Space this Sunday, March 6th, starting at 3 pm.

Globally, bullying is a problem facing many school aged children. It is a comfort to know that many are looking for ways to curb bullying and make the world a better place for our children. On Monday, February 8, 2016, to celebrate it's expansion to the East Coast, the international anti-bullying organization No Bully will be rocking Feinstein's/54 Below with their fundraising concert BROADWAY AGAINST BULLYING.
