Just in, multiple-time Tony and Drama Desk nominees Kate Baldwin, John Cariani, Marc Kudisch, Julia Murney, Mary Testa, Max von Essen, will be some of the performers at Transport Group's annual gala, 'Gimme a Break!' on March 7, 2016.

Julia Murney was joined by Eva Noblezada at her Live at The Hippodrome concert, for a stunning duet of 'Happy Days / Get Happy.' Chales Millar accompanies the duo on piano.

Natascia Diaz is one of DC's greatest talents. With several Helen Hayes Awards and nominations under her belt, she's returned to her roots playing her favorite role, Anita in Signature Theatre's West Side Story.

In an unprecedented outpouring of support by performers, a second show had to be added to accommodate the number of stars that wanted to sing in honor of Barbara Siegel's contributions to the theater as first an Outer Critics Circle Nominator and then a Drama Desk Nominator (the latter, 18 years, 12 of those as chairperson of the Drama Desk Nominating Committee).

Parody Twitter accounts can be a lot of things. They can be sarcastic (Condescending Wonka), they can make you think (Bored Elon Musk), they can be utterly ridiculous (not the real Bill Murray). The theatre community's favorite parody account, Annoying Actor Friend, has been all of those things at different times during its nearly three and a half year existence. The one constant for the character, whether it was brazenly flirting with the official SMASH account, championing causes important to theatre actors and fans, or shamelessly plugging its concerts and books, has been its anonymity. That is of course until yesterday when the account, followed by over 20,000 people, innocuously retweeted a link from a seemingly random blog by Andrew Briedis.

Haul out the holly and put up the tree because Scott Nevins (one of the breakout stars of Bravo TV's hit show The People's Couch) just brought his star-studded holiday benefit SPARKLE: An All-Star Holiday Concert back to NYC for the 4rd year in a row! Featuring another high wattage, star power cast of performers from the worlds of Broadway, television, film and the music industry, this one night only extravaganza took place at The Cutting Room and will benefit the programs and services of The Actors Fund (www.actorsfund.org). Boyd Gaines, four-time Tony Winner (Gypsy, She Loves Me, Driving Miss Daisy), joins Julia Murney (Wicked, The Wild Party), veteran director Tony Walton, and Fundamental Theater Project in celebration of their honorary patron, Sir Peter Shaffer (Equus, Amadeus, Royal Hunt of the Sun) and in support of their mission of fostering emerging voices in the theater.
