Lea Salonga Joins 'Broadway Backwards 5' Concert Line Up

Tony Award-Winner Lea Salonga has joined the line up for BROADWAY BACKWARDS 5, an annual benefit concert presented by Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. BROADWAY BACKWARDS 5 is a one night only event and will hit the stage at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on Monday, February 22nd at 8pm.

According to their website, the Music Center at Strathmore has canceled 'Luck Be A Lady,' a concert that was to be held Friday, February 5th at 8pm. Scheduled to perform were Julia Murney, Emily Skinner, Rachel York and Jim Caruso. The reason for the cancellation is a snow storm weather advisory. The concert was supposed to be a celebration of the center's fifth anniversary and would have featured the best of Broadway, including songs by Sondheim ('No One Is Alone'), Kander & Ebb ('Ring Them Bells,' 'Maybe This Time') and some of the Great White Way's biggest hits ('Maria,' 'Defying Gravity,' 'Don't Rain on My Parade').

Broadway Sessions with Ben D is thrilled to welcome Natalie Hill Tuesday, January 19th. Hill currently serves as understudy to Gina Gershon in the current Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie. She has also appeared on Broadway in the recent revival of Grease as Cha Cha. Touring credits include Joseph and.....Dreamcoat (Narrator opposite Patrick Cassidy) and Hairspray (Shelly). Ms. Hill appeared in the world premiere of Frank Wildhorn's Camille Claudel as Celine.

Broadway vet Julia Murney is set to star in the staged reading of Joe Keenan and Brad Ross' THE TIMES. The reading will be produced by the York Theatre Company and will take place at the Theatre at St. Peter's. The reading will be directed by Philip William McKinley.
