The Human Race Theatre Company is proud to present Broadway leading lady and three-time Tony Award nominee, Rebecca Luker, in a special concert appearance as she performs many of The Great White Way's greatest songs written by Golden Age legends Jerome Kern, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jule Styne, Stephen Sondheim and more, along with newer tunes from some of today's hottest theatre composers. Ms. Luker will be accompanied on the piano by her music director, longtime Human Race collaborator Joseph Thalken.
Houston Symphony Announces 2018-19 Season

The Houston Symphony and Music Director Andr s Orozco-Estrada announced today details of the 2018-19 season, which marks Orozco-Estrada's fifth year as music director. Highlights of the season include conducting appearances by world-class violinists Joshua Bell and Itzhak Perlman; the world premiere of Aurora, a violin concerto by Houston Symphony Composer-in-Residence Jimmy L pez; and a semi-staged opera performance of Bart k's Bluebeard's Castle.

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, presents the 1968 Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Hallelujah, Baby!, with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and book by Arthur Laurents, the first of three shows in the Winter 2018 Musicals in Mufti Series celebrating the work of composer Jule Styne at the York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Performances begin Saturday afternoon, January 27, 2018 for 11 performances only through Sunday, February 4, 2018. Opening Night is Sunday evening,January 28 at 7:00 p.m.
