Tribeca Announces 2020 Short Film Lineup

The 19th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today announced its 2020 Shorts Program lineup. Setting a record with over 6,100 submissions, the final program roster includes 64 diverse and captivating short films from 20 countries around the globe, and features 46 world premieres, including DreamWorks Animation's new animated short, To Gerard. The short films will be presented in 10 distinct competition programs which include five narrative, four documentary, and one animation program. For the fourth consecutive year, 40 percent of the selections are directed by female filmmakers. Queen Collective by Procter & Gamble in partnership with Queen Latifah, Flavor Unit Entertainment and Tribeca Studios is back, a program dedicated to supporting gender and racial equality behind the camera. The 2020 shorts lineup is programmed by Sharon Badal and Ben Thompson. The 2020 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 15 - April 26.

MOG THE FORGETFUL CAT Adaptation Will Have its World Premiere

The acclaimed Wardrobe Ensemble adapt Judith Kerr's beloved and iconic stories in a first-ever stage version of Mog, the final author-approved adaptation by the late Judith Kerr, in a first-time collaboration between co-producers The Old Vic, Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Underbelly Productions and The wardrobe Ensemble.

THE TIGER WHO CAME TO TEA Returns To Theatre Royal Haymarket This Summer

The Olivier Award nominated stage production of The Tiger Who Came to Tea today announces an 8-week summer season in the West End for 2020, returning to Theatre Royal Haymarket following its hugely popular 2019 Christmas run. A musical play adapted and directed by David Wood OBE, based on the classic tale by the late Judith Kerr OBE, The Tiger Who Came to Tea will open in London on Thursday 16 July, playing until 6 September 2020. This will be the production's 7th West End run and marks its 12th year on stage.

The Jewish Museum and Film at Lincoln Center will present the 29th annual New York Jewish Film Festival (NYJFF), January 15a?"28, 2020. Among the oldest and most influential Jewish film festivals worldwide, NYJFF each year presents the finest documentary, narrative, and short films from around the world that explore the Jewish experience. Featuring new work by dynamic voices in international cinema as well as film revivals, the festival's 2020 lineup includes 30 wide-ranging and exciting features and shorts from the iconic to the iconoclastic, many of which will be screening in their world, U.S., and New York premieres. Screenings are held at the Walter Reade Theater, 165 West 65th Street.

Dick King-Smith's BABE, THE SHEEP-PIG Returns to the Stage

Adapted from Dick King-Smith's much-loved children's novel which inspired the Oscar-winning 1995 film, Babe, The Sheep-Pig will be brought to life on stage in an enchanting new production, embarking on a major UK Tour in 2017 following a Christmas season at Polka Theatre. Featuring stunning puppetry, an original score and an utterly charming 'baa-ber sheep' quartet, the tour will launch from West Yorkshire Playhouse on Monday 13 February and run until September 2017. Lyric Hammersmith Announces Little Lyric Season For Young Audiences

The Lyric Hammersmith has announced its 2016 Autumn season of Little Lyric especially for audiences aged aged 2-11. This programme is sure to delight young audiences with stories of beanstalks, giraffes and space travel. October half-term sees a new adaptation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, before finishing off the year with the return of the much-loved family favourite, Raymond Briggs' Father Christmas.
