Plácido Domingo, LA Opera's Eli and Edythe Broad General Director, has announced final details about the company's upcoming presentation of Manuel Penella's El Gato Montés: The Wildcat, an opera brimming with the exuberance of zarzuela, the popular Spanish form of musical theater.

'SMILEY' will debut on Friday, June 14th, 2019 at Repertorio Español, located at 138 East 27th St. in Manhattan, New York.

Una mesa que cruza el escenario se transforma en el espacio que evoca la existencia de tres personajes de la región flamenca en la Edad Media. Una gran actriz y dos grandes actores le darán cuerpo a través de su voz, mediante una lectura precisa, abierta y plena de matices, al héroe Ulenspieguel, a su esposa Nele, y al Rey Felipe, que se resisten a dejarse vencer por la vejez, justo cuando su mente y su corazón tienen una dimensión inmensa, como la del elenco de esta propuesta de la CNTeatro, integrado por Farnesio de Bernal, Ana Ofelia Murguía y Gastón Melo, que con dirección de Ricardo Rodríguez, ofrecerá sus últimas  dos funciones los martes 9 y 16 de abril a las 20:00  en la Sala Héctor Mendoza, ubicada en Coyoacán.

Hola Mexico Film Festival has added a new section, The Other Mexico/El Otro Mexico, to this year's festival. Highlighting experiences of Mexicans rarely portrayed on screen, these films skillfully present perceptive narratives that challenge the status quo.

UrbanTheater Company (UTC) and Teatro Aguijon announced today they will be staging two separate productions of Not for Sale, Guadalis Del Carmen's powerful play about gentrification, as a result of a unique and groundbreaking collaboration. Recently revised by Del Carmen, UTC will present the English-language version of the play, directed by Dominizuelan's Wendy Mateo from March 8 to April 7 at UrbanTheater Company @ Batey Urbano, 2620 W. Division St. on the Paseo Boricua in the heart of Humboldt Park. Teatro Aguijon will present the Spanish-language version translated and directed by Marcela Muñoz in mid-April at their home base, 2707 N. Laramie.

The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today's global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. The program includes discoveries, comedies, music-centered, political and social films. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 - May 5.

Ballet Hispánico will present its All-Latina Choreographers Program featuring Línea Recta, choreographed by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa; Con Brazos Abiertos, choreographed by Michelle Manzanales; and 3. Catorce Dieciséis, choreographed by Tania Pérez-Salas.
