Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Returns To The Soraya

Aspen Santa Fe Ballet's bold vision - top global choreographers, distinctive groundbreaking repertoire, and virtuoso dancers - has fostered a jewel of a dance company in the American West.  Now, ASFB celebrates the fourth year of its residency at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) with a program of works that celebrates the company's commitment to creating new contemporary dance on Saturday, January 19 at 8:00pm. ASFB will perform Tuplet by Alexander Ekman, Dream Play by Fernando Melo, and 1st Flash from world-renowned Finnish choreographer Jorma Elo.

The Joyce Presents the Fourth Annual AMERICAN DANCE PLATFORM

The TROCKS Return To NYC

The Joyce Theater Foundation (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) is thrilled to present the return of the internationally adored Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo for three weeks, December 11-30. Hot off a blockbuster tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland, the beautiful and brilliantly bawdy gals of the "Trocks," as they are affectionately known, will offer two programs during the engagement, including Joyce premieres as well as audience favorites. The season shows off the company's award-winning dancers performing a perfect mix of loving interpretations and hilarious parodies of ballet classics. Boston Dance Theater Comes to The ICA

Gear up for a livewire inaugural season. . . Boston Dance Theater (BDT) takes to the local stage for the first time this November 30 and December 1, 2018 at 8PM at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), presented by World Music/ CRASHarts. Free pre performance talks with Boston Dance Alliance Executive Director Debra Cash 30 minutes prior to curtain in the ICA Common Room. Free post performance Q&A with the artists Friday, November 30. Twyla Tharp Returns To The Joyce Next Month

For four weeks this fall, The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) will present the return of legendary director /choreographer Twyla Tharp and her sensational company of dancers. Twyla Tharp Dance performs the New York City premiere of Minimalism and Me, a revisiting of Tharp's seminal early works, at The Joyce's Chelsea home from November 14 - December 9.

The Joyce Presents James Whiteside in THE TENANT

The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) is thrilled to present, in association with its Joyce Theater Productions initiative, the world premiere of The Tenant, a new dance play directed by choreographer Arthur Pita and starring American Ballet Theatre (ABT) principal James Whiteside, with ABT soloist Cassandra Trenary, and Kibrea Carmichael. Based on the 1964 novel of the same name by Roland Topor, The Tenant will be presented at The Joyce Theater, from November 6-11.

Joyce Theater Begins Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Season with NY QUADRILLE

After a season of thrilling and diverse programming,The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. (Linda Shelton, Executive Director), New York City's premier presenter of dance, proudly kicks off its 2018-2019 Fall/Winter Season with the return of the wildly popular NY Quadrille, which had its debut in the fall of 2016. The three-week engagement, performed in a transformed Joyce Theater performance space, is conceived and curated by famed choreographer Lar Lubovitch, and features works by some of today's most acclaimed and celebrated choreographers/companies including John Jasperse Projects, Kyle Abraham's A.I.M, former Merce Cunningham dancers Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener, Donna Uchizono Company, and Beth Gill.
