The Dukes Lancaster announced the cast for its 2026 park show ROBIN HOOD, led by Joe Parker in the title role, with the production set to run through Williamson Park.

Dame Elaine Paige, who played Eva Perón in the original production of Evita on the West End, recently shared her thoughts about the revival, now running at London's Palladium Theatre. Watch her interview with the UK's This Morning here.

With the Jamie Lloyd production of Evita in the works, we're revisiting some of the most iconic Evas to grace the stage and screen, from Elaine Paige to Patti LuPone, most recently Auli'i Cravalho, and of course, Madonna.

British actor Joss Ackland has died at the age of 95, his family said in a statement.

Tim Rice has revealed the guests on the upcoming 14th episode of his podcast, Get Onto My Cloud! Rice revealed on Twitter that, in the episode, Hal Prince's first thoughts on Evita will be discussed. In addition, there will be songs from David Essex, Joss Ackland, and Elaine Paige.

Producers Hal Luftig, Scott Sanders, Troika Entertainment & The Nederlander Organization have announced that EVITA will return to L.A. by way of Hollywood Pantages for a limited three week engagement; October 23 - November 10, 2013.

With this week's news of the passing of American literary and political icon Gore Vidal at the advanced age of 86, now seems a particularly apt time to look back at a truly anomalous career and some of the highlights of a life lived on pages, stages, planes, trains and many of the most exclusive locales in the world.

A statement from the producers said: “Two years ago, originating producer Michael Alden was ready to put the play on and the film came along and blocked its path. At the start of this year, we believed that enough time had passed between the film and our opening. This clearly was not the case. We are extremely proud of what we have accomplished. It is a production of genuine quality that has been critically and publicly acclaimed across the board.'
