The Cleveland Orchestra presents its inaugural neighborhood residency in Northeast Ohio from today, May 11 through 17, 2013, in Cleveland's Gordon Square Arts District. During this first residency, the Orchestra will offer more than 15 events for the community throughout the week, including performances by Cleveland Orchestra musicians, ensembles from the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra and Youth Chorus, a Cleveland Orchestra concert preview, and educational programs for local students. All of the events will be free and open to the public.

Modeled after the Tony Awards, The Orpheum's High School Musical Theatre Awards recognizes achievements in all areas of high school musical theatre. This event is part of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards program which includes 30 programs from across the country.

The Cleveland Orchestra has announced its 2013-14 season. Music Director Franz Welser-Most will introduce a Fall Festival, pairing symphonies by Beethoven and Shostakovich, and an all-Brahms weekend with two programs featuring Brahms's Violin Concerto and his Second and Fourth Symphonies. Mr. Welser-Most brings opera back to Severance Hall, with a semi-staged production of Janacek's The Cunning Little Vixen. Guest artists returning to Severance Hall include Leon Fleisher, Mitsuko Uchida, Radu Lupu, and conductors Christoph von Dohnanyi, Pierre Boulez, and Herbert Blomstedt. The Orchestra celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Britten with performances of his Spring Symphony, Violin Concerto, and Serenade for Tenor, Horn, and Strings.
The Cleveland Orchestra has announced the 2013 Blossom Music Festival season. The Orchestra will present 19 concerts at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Valley National Park from July 3 - September 1.

-University of Southern Indiana Theatre launches its 2009 season with Athol Fugard's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Master Harold and the Boys, directed by Elliot Wasserman, chair of the Department of Performing Arts at USI.
