?Carrick Hill Springfield celebrates its 30th year of public opening this Wednesday 9 March when His Excellency The Honourable Hieu Van Le AO opens The Year of the Pearl program and the first exhibition for 2016 entitled Passion and Taste; a celebration of collecting. Nearly 1,000 stakeholders from across the orchestra field will attend the League of American Orchestras' Conference 2015, this week, May 27-29 in Cleveland, marking the first time a League Conference has been hosted by The Cleveland Orchestra. Orchestra managers, musicians, staff, trustees, and volunteers will interact with experts from within the arts community and beyond, attending general and elective sessions, live performances, and social and networking events.

The Cleveland Orchestra Presents Its 2nd Annual Residency in Lakewood, 5/17-24

The Cleveland Orchestra presents its second annual Northeast Ohio neighborhood residency from May 17 through 24, 2014, in Lakewood, Ohio. During the residency, the Orchestra will offer musical performances and events throughout the community. These events include performances by Cleveland Orchestra musicians, ensembles from the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra and Youth Chorus, a Cleveland Orchestra concert preview, extensive educational programs for local students all culminating with a free concert by The Cleveland Orchestra at Lakewood Civic Auditorium. The Orpheum Theatre has announced the nominees for the 2014 High School Musical Theatre Awards. Modeled after the Tony Awards, The Orpheum's High School Musical Theatre Awards recognizes achievements in all areas of high school musical theatre. This event is part of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards program which includes 30 programs from across the country.

DAPHNE, Bach's Bass in B Minor & More Set for Cleveland Orchestra's 2014-15 Season

The Cleveland Orchestra has announced its 2014-15 season. Music Director Franz Welser-Möst's programs include Bach's Mass in B minor, and Brahms's Piano Concertos with Yefim Bronfman as soloist. Mr. Welser-Möst continues his long-standing tradition of opera performances at Severance Hall with concert performances of Richard Strauss's rarely heard opera Daphne. Guest artists returning to Severance Hall include Lang Lang, Christian Tetzlaff, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and Mitsuko Uchida, and conductors Charles Dutoit, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, and Fabio Luisi. The Orchestra celebrates the 90th birthday of Pierre Boulez in three programs conducted by Franz Welser-Möst.
