Paul Alexander's TRINKETS Comes to 21 Bond Arts Center
by A.A. Cristi - Jul 14, 2017

Playwright Paul Alexander is a 'NY nightlife legend' most notably known for the 1990's performance art-dance party Jackie 60 where he honed his vocal emcee and performance skills. Following many solo underground dance singles he gained international success with the dance pop trio The Ones, known for their #1 Dance/#7 Pop hit Flawless. Trinkets, is an original musical play set in NYC during the 1990's. It tells a story of a group of drag and transsexual prostitutes, who work the streets of the meatpacking district. This fantastical story taken from reality shows a moment in the growth of the LGBT community, which is often overlooked.

by Gary Naylor - Mar 29, 2017

Adam & Eve... and Steve has a bit of panto, a bit of the Edinburgh Fringe and a whole lot of great songs, but not quite the musical chops to reach its full potential.

ALL GONE WEST to Run 3/28-4/18 at Teatro Circulo
by BWW News Desk - Apr 17, 2015

'All Gone West,' a new play by John Attanas, transports us to the New York jazz scene of the early 50's. An Army vet, in love with a secretary at CCNY, would win her by setting up a be-bop club on Ninth Avenue with the help of a black saxophonist he has befriended in the service and a couple of low-lives he has met along the way. The couple's story is one of dreams dashed and fulfilled; love denied and embraced. The play features a cast of six plus a live, four-piece jazz ensemble. Jonathan Fluck, former Executive Director of IRT Theatre, will produce and direct the play's world premiere run March 28 to April 18, 2015 at Teatro Circulo, 64 East 4th Street (East Village).
