Judy Collins to Receive the 2019 Bistro Award for Lifetime Achievement

Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter and Grammy Hall-of-Famer, Judy Collins will be honored at the 34th Annual Bistro Awards on Monday, March 11, where she will be receiving the Bob Harrington Lifetime Achievement Award, the Bistro Awards' highest honor, for her six decades of musical accomplishments.

Peer Kusiv Remixes Chantitown's 'Cause And The Cure'

German deep-house producer Peer Kusiv, shared his remix of British singer-songwriter Chantitown's title single, 'Cause And The Cure', which will be released on 25th January, 2019 alongside remixes by German producer and DJ Manuel Tur. Hailing from the German port city of Kiel, Peer Kusiv has seen support from noteworthy publications like Dancing Astronaut, VICE's music channel Thump and Earmilk. On Youtube his music has been viewed more than 18 million times with multiple entries on tastemaker channels like Heed The Sound, The Vibe Guide, and ElectroPosé amongst others. His several releases on labels such as Get Physical, Kittball, and Parquet-Recordings has allowed him to remix tracks for some of the biggest names in the industry including Michael Jackson, Kelly Clarkson, Jake Bugg, Passenger and Robin Schulz. This widespread appeal has allowed the producer to travel across the globe performing alongside notable acts like R3hab, Steve Angello, Sigma, Oliver Heldens, Flume, Milky Chance, Bakermat and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike at prominent festivals such as the acclaimed ADE.

EPIX to Present Feature Documentary, LAUREL CANYON

EPIX has greenlit Laurel Canyon, a feature-length documentary that will pull back the curtain on a mythical world and provide an up-close look at the lives of the musicians who inhabited it. Through a wealth of rare and newly unearthed footage and audio recordings, the documentary will feature an intimate portrait of the artists who created a music revolution that would change popular culture. Alison Ellwood (History of the Eagles) will direct the feature-length film, which will premiere in late 2019 on EPIX.

Billy Idol and Steve Stevens Confirm North American Duo Tour, 'Turned On, Tuned In and Unplugged'

Billy Idol and Steve Stevens, one of rock's most iconic and enduring duos, will hit the road this March for their first ever tour performing as a duo. The North American tour, titled “Turned On, Tuned In and Unplugged,” begins on March 3 at the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, and include stops at San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts, Los Angeles' Theater at The Ace Hotel, New York's Town Hall and more. Corey Hart to be Inducted into Canadian Music Hall of Fame

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) and CBC are thrilled to announce legendary singer-songwriter Corey Hart as the 2019 inductee into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.  Hart, who has sold over 16 million albums worldwide, will be officially inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame during The 2019 JUNO Awards on Sunday, March 17. To celebrate his induction, Hart will take the stage at Budweiser Gardens to perform on live television for the first time in over 20 years. Fans from across the world can tune-in to watch this special performance as part of The 2019 JUNO Awards broadcast live on CBC, CBC Radio, the free CBC Gem streaming servicein Canada and globally at cbcmusic.ca/junos.

Irish Arts Center Announces Spring 2019 Season

Irish Arts Center (IAC), a multidisciplinary center dedicated to bringing people of all backgrounds together through the excellence and dynamism of Irish arts and culture, announces its Spring 2019 season a cross-section of the exhilarating theater, music, dance, literature, art, and genre-defying performance coming from Ireland and Irish America, alongside educational events engaging participants with an array of rich traditions. With performances as wide-ranging as Margaret McAuliffe's acclaimed one-woman play The Humours of Bandon, Declan O'Rourke's epic song cycle Chronicles of the Great Irish Famine, and Paul Muldoon's performance adaptation of a 1773 Irish poem, IAC provides an intimate home for artists' boldest visions. As construction on IAC's landmark permanent new home in Hell's Kitchen takes place just beyond the organization's original location, IAC's vast ambition and accomplishment will be on full display, outside and in, throughout Spring 2019.
