THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY (Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director) in partnership with the Jewish Plays Project (David Winitsky, Artistic Director), have announced a one-night only reading presentation of 2021 National Jewish Playwriting Contest Winner, WHO BY FIRE, written by Talisa Friedman and directed by legendary casting director John Levey.  

Pink Martini, Portland Oregon’s globetrotting, self-described “little orchestra,” is excited to share that lead singer China Forbes, the Voice of Pink Martini since 1995, is releasing new solo material on the band’s label Heinz Records for the first time since her autobiographical album 78, which came out in 2008.

Pink Martini, a McCallum favorite, is returning for six shows, from Wednesday, March 4, through Sunday, March 8. It all started in 1994, in Thomas Lauderdale's hometown of Portland, Ore. Trained as a pianist, he was working in politics, with the intention of eventually running for office. He went to numerous political fundraisers, but was dismayed to find the music at these events underwhelming, lackluster, loud and un-neighborly. Drawing inspiration from music from all over the world, crossing genres of classical, jazz and old-fashioned pop, and hoping to appeal to conservatives and liberals alike, he founded the a?oelittle orchestraa?? Pink Martini in 1994 to provide beautiful and inclusive music for political fundraisers for progressive causes such as civil rights, the environment and affordable housing.

Kiln Theatre today announces the appointment of Daisy Heath as Executive Director. Daisy joins the company from the Young Vic - where she is currently Lead Producer - in January 2019 working alongside Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham. Daisy takes over from Bridget Kalloushi who leaves after 6 years as Executive Producer having successfully completed work on the capital project.

The new season includes five world premieres, one UK premiere and a major musical revival, with over 10,000 tickets at £12.50 or under.

Vision Latino Theatre Company (VLTC) kicks off their third Season with the World Premiere of Nelson Diaz- Mercano's, REVOLT! Performances of REVOLT! will be held at Chicago Dramatists (1105 W Chicago Ave.). Israel's iconic singer-songwriter, guitarist and UNICEF goodwill ambassador David Broza returns to perform his The Not Exactly Xmas Show at The Broad Stage today, December 21 at 7:30pm. This is Broza's second consecutive December at The Broad Stage with his signature concert, which he has been performing in New York City for over 20 years.

The singer-songwriter's new concert, David Broza & Friends, brings his varied musical explorations together in a single, signature performance. Starting the evening alone on stage, Broza will introduce a band member or group of band members with each song, creating a show that culminates, Bolero-style, in an ecstatic big-band crescendo.
