Lin-Manuel Miranda took to Twitter on Tuesday, March 3 to share a photo from the set of the upcoming film adaptation of tick, tick...BOOM! Miranda, who is making his directorial debut with the feature, tweeted a picture of him holding the film slate, which features his name as director on it.

Bonnie Milligan (Head Over Heels), Alyssa Fox (Frozen), Colton Ryan (Girl from the North Country) and Stephanie Torns (Waitress) are scheduled to perform at a March 30 concert featuring the music of Joey Contreras at The Green Room 42. Titled after his song, 'Break from the Line: The Music of Joey Contreras' will share highlights from his catalog, stories behind the music, showcase new talent and tease material from his upcoming musicals.

WP Theater, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty and Managing Director Michael Sag, has announced the 2020 lineup for The Pipeline Festival, the third biennial showcase of its celebrated WP Lab residency for playwrights, directors and producers. Running from March 26 - April 25, 2020 at WP Theater (2162 Broadway, at 76th Street), the festival is the culmination of the renowned two-year WP Lab residency, providing a unique opportunity for audiences to see five new plays - in various stages of development, ranging from staged readings to full-length workshop productions - presented over a span of five weeks.

There are some musicals that become cultural milestones, that permeate beyond the theatre community into mainstream popular culture. OKLAHOMA did so in its day and HAMILTON is an obvious modern example. But if there's one show that achieved it in the 1990s, it's RENT. And this week, you can see the 20th Anniversary touring production at DPAC. The show's music, lyrics, and book by Jonathan Larson haven't changed over the past two decades but the world in which they exist certainly has.
