About Face Theatre will present a one-night-only benefit reading of its 2011 runaway hit THE HOMOSEXUALS by AFT Artistic Associate Philip Dawkins, directed by original director Bonnie Metzgar and featuring the full original cast. Throughout its 20th anniversary season, About Face is serving up readings of some of their most succesful and pivotal plays from the last two decades. STUPID f**kING BIRD, a Sideshow Theatre Company production running through August 30th at Victory Gardens Theater, will hold a panel discussion tonight, August 21st immediately following the 7:30 p.m. show. Posner (of no relation to playwright Aaron Posner) as she discusses her take on this 'sort-of-adaptation' of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull.

Sideshow Theatre Company concludes its 2014-15 season with the sci-fi fable CHALK by ensemble member Walt McGough, directed by ensemble member Megan A. The 11th annual New Stages Festival kicked off at Goodman Theatre on October 29. Appearing in repertory alongside FEATHERS AND TEETH is THE MAGIC PLAY by Andrew Hinderaker, a play that fuses magic and reality directed by Halena Kays; and CARLYLE by Thomas Bradshaw, an exploration of right-wing politics in America through the eyes of an African American Republican directed by Benjamin Kamine.
